Comments about ESP LTD B-50 Bass Guitar:

This bass played good right out of the box. The only tweaking necessary was adjusting the intonation of the G string. Looks good, too - nice transparent red finish and wood grain.

Active pickups mean that it won't play if the battery dies - plus, the output is lower than my Fender and Peavey basses and the tone isn't as deep. Since I use only the middle pickup, I may replace it with a passive pickup.

this did have a great sound,nice thin neck. but horrible fret job.finish was more black than red.i think if you get a bad one maybe if you do a couple of exchanges you might get lucky and get a good one. im too old and dont have the patience.
