I bought this bass last August 2002, for my wife to learn on. Every time she puts it down I pick it up. It is by far the most fun instrument I've every played. I recommend this BG-32 Fender Bass to anyone, experienced bass player or a wannabe. You can't beat the price and the quality is awesome. My wife had no musical instrument experience. She has learned well and this instrument has made the process go easier. Unplugged or amped up it delivers. I play acoustic guitar and she makes me sound good with her bass. A great combination. The Martin B-1 might be better quality, but it isn't offered with the electric option. Plus, the Martin costs about twice the money. You can't go wrong with the Fender BG-32

Why can
i like this guitar alot it has a nice wood sound i like to use it for blues ,bluegrass, country,
This a fun, easy to play and affordable bass. As I prefer the short scale, there are not many things to choose from out there. I wish they made this fretless, (and a maple version) I'd buy another. Sounds pretty decent, even being laminated, both unplugged and plugged. For my taste, I find it is best to perpetually softly mute the strings with the right palm to get a nice psuedo acoustic timber.
This is one of the best basses i have ever played. The sound of it when its plugged in is so nice. You could have a good thick bass sound or a really nice punhy treblely cruch.I would really recomemd it if your looking for a good acoustic bass.
Outstanding Bang-for-your-buck. This Bass sounds great acoutstic, but it absolutely rummbles when amplified! I consider it a fantastic addition to my Fender J-Bass!
Purchased it and was very satisfied til I plugged it up and one of the pickups turned out to be defective, this all happened within a month of when i purchased it. Three months later I am still waiting on the part and to get it fixed. I was surprised to find out how terrible Fender's customer service is. Very disappointing. I probably just got a bad apple but I had to go way out of my way to get this thing fixed.
The bass plays very well, although the action is a bit high. The Fishman pre-amp creates a warm tone and lots of flexability. It provides lots of bottom-end thump when amped, but you'll have to work to get it to cut through when playing with alot of other instruments.

Great rich and deep sounding bass acoustic or plugged in.
I bought it for playing at acoustic shows then I plugged it in... awesome low end tone! I am very suprised at how good it is both as an acoustic or electric bass. I have recorded with it and the bass sound is one of the first comments made about the album. I use it in live shows all the time. Great value.
