Alrigh, I had the honor of playing this (bass) at guitar center. First off, let me say this bass looks amazing. The blue glitter sparkle finish on top the maple neck and chromed pickguard just sell it for me. The Seymour Duncan single coil sounds so punchy and mean just like Harris, but this bass impressivingly has a tone knob, and I love that cause I also play Jazz. The bass is heavy but it has a great chunky neck with provides fuller tone. The bass is awesome, everything about it, I just wish it wasn't $1300. It's a little steep considering it's made in Japan.

Most beautiful painted bass I have ever owned. (I have a world class Warwick for the antique look) This bass is the most beautiful thing I have seen but the action was so bad I spent hours (maybe days) trying to adjust the truss rod and saddle to make it work. That did not happen. I replaced the strings with smaller rounds and it almost worked but the A string never stopped buzzing. It's now the best piece in my wall tribute to Maiden. Probably worth the money just for the trophie effect - it is beautiful!!!!! I would get the G&L version or better yet a Warwick for playing though. Sorry Steve, you still rule!

Comments about Fender Steve Harris P Bass:

This is absolutely the most beautiful bass I have had in the 30 years of playing (in an Amercian Hot Rod sort of way). This P bass finish and quality overall is incredible. However, the action was horrible and the fret buzz was so aggrivating my blood pressure was off the scale. I replaced the strings with smaller rounds and made it somewhat playable after hours of adjustment. Killer, thunderous tone. Price is worth it just to own one but for playing I would go G&L if your a Fender fan or better yet Warwick for ultimate tones. But if your a Maiden fan you must own this!

Its everything its cracked up to be. Absolutely beautiful excellent bass. The finish is stunning. Plays even better than my Roger Waters Fender. Only problem is the flatwound strings it comes with. They had to go. Much happier with round wounds on it now.

Comments about Fender Steve Harris P Bass:

This bass is really nice. It is a P, but it is a little brighter and punchier. I took off the SH sig. strings. The Maple neck allows low action, which I like. Great instrument.

        This Bass Rocks!

        By corpsekrusher

        from Reseda, CA

Comments about Fender Steve Harris P Bass:

The first thing I did with this PBass when I got it home was take off the Steve Harris flatwound Rotos. They probably would have worked for me if it wasn't for the G string. It was very thick and sounded totally flat. I replaced them with a Rotosound roundwound set.

The finish on the neck feels very nice. The metallic blue paint on the body is also very well done, and the chrome pick guard looks outstanding. The bridge and tuning gears are top rate. The weight on this thing is on the hefty side compared to my Fender American Standard PBass - but not an issue with me at all. I am a big Steve Harris fan and this bass is everything I expected it to be. When I plugged it in it roared!

I bought this bass in may and it is my new favorite bass. i was playing a 70's modified jazz bass with an Audere audio preamp and this blows it away out of the box.

        Awesome sounding P

Comments about Fender Steve Harris P Bass:

I've been eyeing a P bass for a while now and eventually found my way to this one. Let me start by saying that this is THE P bass tone. Each note is incredibly punchy and the tone is big and awesome. It's incredibly stylish and balances well. The reason I didn't buy it? The neck is HUGE. Not quite Warwick huge but pretty close. Aside from that this is a wonderful sounding bass that any rock, metal, or blues player would absolutely love.

Alot better than the 2000 version

        By TheIronMaiden

        from Land O Lakes, FL

Comments about Fender Steve Harris P Bass:

This is a great bass. I have a American P-bass and this is just as good. Solid, heavy and sounds fantastic. Japan did a fine job on this one, a big improvement over the 2000 Signature which I also own. In fact I'd put it a step higher than the 2007 American P Bass just because I didn't have to spend money upgrading the bridge and taking out the push volume j-sound volume knob. You will not be dissapointed in this bass.
