The AEB full-sized body provides rich tones, while the 32" neck scale offers the right combination of tonal warmth, easy playability, and clear articulation.
The AEB5FE features an Ivorex II nut, which is stronger and more durable than bone and even harder than the original Ivorex. The Ivorex II nut allows brilliant highs and more pronounced lows with less mid-range, which makes Ivorex II-fitted guitars perfect for amplification.
The AEB5FE is stage-ready with an Ibanez Piezo pickup and the Ibanez AEQ202T preamp with 2-band EQ and onboard tuner.

I have been playing bass for 25+ years. This is my first acoustic bass and first fretless bass and I love it. It plays like a $500+ instrument. It has good intonation and feel. I have read reviews where many say they have to adjust the bridge and/or put different strings on. I didn't find this to be the case. The built-in tuner is a nice feature. I am running it through an effects peddle to replicate a stand up bass sound. When sliding fingers up the neck, it has a good clean pure sound. I am excited to play it live in front of a crowd this weekend. The only con is that it does require constant tuning (hence reason built-in tuner nice feature) every couple songs.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
