Im not gonna say if i like it or don't like it because its all personal preference so im just gonna talk about the bass itself and let you decide if its good or not. First, The bass itself is a pretty good starter bass. the color is nice, especially if you get it in a black finish with nice chrome hardware to top it off. But the neck of it is quite thicker and wider then a normal bass so it can make problems to reach the e string and 1st frets. The volume knobs rub up against the body creating friction and could cause a scratch so i would suggest pulling them up as soon as you get it. Another plus, is it stays in tune very well. Im actually suprised at how well it stays if you have it in drop b or even bringing the strings a half a step up. The amp is under appreciated. People don't understand its a PRACTICE amp so they tend to bash it. so if you want a nice tone keep it low. If you wan't something louder your gonna have to buy another one. This bass helped me learn bass.

I have had this bass for about 2 years and this bass is great for pluggin' away, but if you try slapping or extremely fast riffs, this thing ain't what you'd call PROFESSIONAL. The pickups' size is clumsy and the style of body is not good for big-framed guys like me. BUT, if you're a beginner, it's perfect. The upside is that learning is pretty easy on it, and that it looks kinda cool. The bass amp is muddy when turned up loud. The strap is softer than others I've used. And I had to replace the gig-bag with a case. Awesome beginner Ibanez Bass.

I first bought this pack because ive been playing guitar for about a year and wanted to explore more forms of music, the first thing i noticed was the color,it was nice and sleek especially the chrome hardware, then i noticed how light it was which is good for playing long shows. But then i noticed the things that came with it, the strap is bad but it does the job, invest in a new one because the old one will fall off easily, the tuner worked for a month then blinked random lights, the amp is okay for quiet playing but when you turn it up you can feel air literally, its like a fan everytime you strike a note, needs new strings also, so invest in a new, better amp and this bass will rock!!!

bass is great for learning but stinks as soon as you add any variation and slap is impossible with sharp pickups crowding under strings. easy to use when playing straightforward but no options for funk or metal. gear is terrible. strap snapped after a month, tuner flashes randomly when your not playing any notes, bag blew out because bass barley fits into it, headphones fall off wire, amp is made so all volume comes between 0-.5 on the nob. dont be fooled and think its loud; after .5 it tops out and thats all you get. plug for amp is tempermental and turns amp off if shifted slightly (not good in the middle of a gig). altogether its something you can learn on but after a month it just gets on your nerves. oh and immediatly get the trust rod straightened when it comes in.
