Comments about Ibanez SR255 5-String Electric Bass:

Purchased this bass early part of the summer. This bass felt good in the showroom and did not require a set-up. I had experienced players and mention what great tone this bass had. This is the third five string bass I have owebed and by far one of the best I have played. I think this bass would be great for any level player.

This was my first bass a year ago. i love it. since then ive built/ assembled other bass guitar projects and kits, but i always fall back on my 5 string ibanez. well worth every penny i spent on it. would highly recomend this bass guitar to anyone, even a beginner seeing as this was my beginner.

Comments about Ibanez SR255 5-String Electric Bass:

I got this as an upgrade to an old rogue that had developed neck alignment problems. It's a beautiful, well made instrument, maybe the controls are one knob too many, and the frets are so sharp you could shave with them. Of course, that's to be expected with a new, out of box guitar. My tele was the same way at first. Well worth the price

Very Versatile BaSS

Comments about Ibanez SR255 5-String Electric Bass:

Wonderful bass only thing I would like to see added would be a active/passive switch other than that you can't go wrong with this bass. The body contour makes it easier and more comfortable to play sitting or standing. Light weight is essential for me since I have a bad back and I was pleased to find that the neck was pretty straight, action was low, and no fret buzz all the way up the fretboard.
Very nice tone controls on this bass as well as the non back killing weight. Thin fretboard makes it easy to fly, and a small thing but the quick access battery compartment makes life easier.
For what you're paying this bass is amazing. I was playing around on multiple 5 strings looking for a suitable one and for me this played as well if not better than all the other $600+ basses.
Worth every penny, will last you for years whether you're a proffesional or just starting.
