Features:
Quality:

Sounds good out of the box other than needing to adjust pickups to for better and consistent string sound and raising the action a little.  Bought a refurbished; looks just like new.

Value:

I've just starting learning on it but the value for the buck has been given the thumbs up by my instructor.  He said the price is good for what the bass offers.

Overall:

Good sounding bass, nice control features (bass and treble controls/finger and slap controls plus two others) and overall solid build and look.

Be careful. I Bought this as a new player's bass (I play guitar mainly) and I did not realize some of the problems until I took it home. The fret ends on mine were barely filed, i actually had small scratches on my hand. I don't know if it's my cord or amp, but when I tweak the EQ knobs, I get a nasty static sound. Though the frets have been since filed, I am still slightly disappointed.

Maple woody goodness!

Overall:
I find this bass to have a STELLAR warm woody character, with a range of tonal qualities very similar to a Fender Jazz and Precision bass. The active electronics are quiet and do a good job of recreating the sound without taking away from the lucious wood tone. The bass is ultra light, the neck is thin and plays very fast. Fretwork is good though not perfect but comparable to a Fender MIM. The 5 piece neck seems pretty sturdy for the price. If you want the Fender sound without the Fender price and lust after maple necks, this is your bass.
