Traditional looks with active electronics clout.
The Jackson CMG Concert Bass Guitar has an alder body and bolt-on maple neck, and is equipped with EMG pickups and active electronics, mini tuners, and jumbo frets. The neck is especially easy to play with a compound radius of 12" to 14".
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better bass!

This is my second Jackson CMG bass. This one came from Musicians Friend and is gloss black. They both play great with a very low action out of the box. Both were flawless. The EMGs have a wide spectrum from punchy to piano like. Getting a Jackson case is a problem though. Seems to fit pretty well in an ESP LTD case. I have five other basses and have owned many over the years. These two are my all time favorites.
I am a 5 string Bassist ... Spector is my Main Bass ... Doing a Reunion show, for my 80's Metal Band ... I purchased this Bass ... It is just like the Charvel I had back then ... Light Weight ... Playability is just Amazing ... I LOVE this Bass ... Rock On!
This was my first bass. It took me about half a year before I ponied up and tried it with flats. While this is a metal bass, it has great flexibility. The eq does wonders, especially with the flats. I get a nice fat thump if I try. So, if you don't play metal, don't be scared away. I have the transparent green finish, and love it; I get lots of compliments on it. Rock on
Well me and this bass have been together for 8 years now!!! When I was in 8th grade I got this bass to play in my band! This bass is freaking awesome!!!! it has a nice feel to it the frets are real nice! Its good to play just about anything! I don't think I have encountered a problem with this bass!!!
