Comments about Mitchell MB300 Modern Rock Bass with Active EQ:
This is my first Mitchell instrument so I didn't know what to expect at this price. The bass is very solid, set up very well out of the box. Good fret work, nice fit and finish. The tone is pretty good, but the electronics are definitely the weak spot. A lot of buzz for active pickups caused by miles of extraneous wiring (I will soon remedy that) and no shielding. Having the pole pieces right under the strings also makes it brighter than other pickups. Overall though a very nice instrument especially for the cost. I would not be ashamed to gig with this bass.
