Wow! What a great bass. The graphite neck is very solid and has a pretty design on the back of it. I got this so I wouldn't have to adjust basses on the road anymore. It can do J tones very well. Outstanding B string! Great Jaco like bridge tone. Great rocking aggressive tone. Also does the warm R&B thing well too. The feel is very nice also. Anyone who plays a Stingray 5 should feel right at home, plus it weighs less. The neck is very fast. Mine is Sienna with a Quilted maple top which is one of the most beautiful basses I have ever had. I have been playing for 10 years and this is my number one for sure!
Amazing bass... The price tag is very high (I got mine as a new old stock which saved me a bundle.) However, if you want a smooth, clean, and punchy sounding bass the Flea FBJ5 is the way to go. The low B is nice and tight and very responsive. Also the Batolini pickups and tone system are simply amazing. I highly reccommend this bass to any serious musician out there.
