The Best Offshore Bass Made!

Comments about Lakland Skyline 44-02 4-String Bass:

I did an A/B test with this bass and the Fender American P-Bass Deluxe. The biggest advantage the Lakland had over the Fender was the preamp. I could dial in any tone necessary; the Fender, while good, really did not compare. As well the feel on the neck seemed wonderfully broken in. A brilliant move by those at Lakland for a bass most of us can afford: neck and body made in Korea, while the hardware, electronics and set up done in the U.S.- giving them control and consistency of this bass. I own a lot of basses- this is my main 4 for gigging. Highly recommended over Fender's top of the line!

Comments about Lakland Skyline 44-02 4-String Bass:

This bass is soooooooo sick! If you want a bass for a life time then get this one. i love my lakland. its the best quailtiy bass out there. Amazing tones, and warm puncy lows. I play a lot of jazz and blues. This bass is fast and easy to walk. i love it. It feels amazing. Its NOT too heavy like a lot of basses. it will not hury your shoulder after only a hour of playing, play the night away! easy to slap, easy too rock. Whatever you are playing you willn't be fieghting this bass. perfect design.
The lakland skyline deluxe 44-02 4 string has a set of EQ knobs. A high, mid high, mid low and low. Its also has a vol knob and a pick up[ swich. It has a active bass pick-up. with a battery. The knobs are very easy too adjust when playing. This bass is sooooo sick. I
This bass is made from the most high quality ask wood and and parts. The quality of this bass guitar really show through the tone.
this bass is worth all of the money that you'll pay. The price it really really high but the tone, sound, quality and feels of the bass is a HUGE bam for your buck.

Comments about Lakland Skyline 44-02 4-String Bass:

This guitar is worth every minute of wait and every penny spent.
It was "PLEK'D" in March of 14 and sat who knows where until I received it Jan. 2 of 15. So, as to be expected it took some fine truss and string adjustments but once that was done this baby started to growl!
The way the LH3 system is set up the tonal possibilities cover about anything you might ever need.
The neck is thin and slightly wider than a Jazz at the nut, but it is SMOOTH.
Amp'd this sucker is as I said, 'Solid as a Rock' and because of the overall quality and attention to detail that Lakland puts into their guitars, you've gotta be one sloppy player to make this guitar sound bad.
Do yourself a favor, if you're gonna spend real money on a new bass give the Skyline 44-02 one hour of your time and you'll want to thank me personally for the recommendation.

Its got that boom boom pow

Comments about Lakland Skyline 44-02 4-String Bass:

I bought the Lakland 44-02-4 to try some different things. So far so good. I have been playing a Musicman 5 for several years and decided to try going back to a 4 string. The neck on the Lakland plays fast and has taken some getting used to. The pick ups are way loud. The bass has a nice range of tone and good low end. Sometimes mid range notes seem to get lost a bit but that might be my amp. The overall quality seems to be good. I think this bass is a keeper.

    Beauty and the Beast

Comments about Lakland Skyline 44-02 4-String Bass:

I own the Lakland 44-02-4-string bass. Have played it for two years now and love it. The finish on it is beautiful and the electronics are truely amazing. The high's are, shrap and cut through clear, and the low's give you that howlin, growlin bottom that every bass player wants. No matter what kind of music you play. The 9 volt preamp works great. Feature wise my wish list would include, an 18 volt preamp only and that's it. I play Praise and Worship music,Funk and Rock also, and this bass delivers tone's that a much higher end bass would deliver. The action on the neck is so smooth and responsive, it can hold it's own with, what other people think are the best for a much lower price.
