Comments about Rogue SX100B Series II Electric Bass Guitar:

I don't see why so many people are giving this bass such a bad rap. It's one of the best basses I've ever seen/used. It's sounds great, it's a full 34" and the frets are a great fit for my fingers. The tone knob doesn't work as well as it should (it's basically a switch), but it works for me. The volume knob is good, though. It's also said the neck is wide, but I have big hands and it suits me fine. Sounds great through a wah and overdrive, too.

    The worst bass

    By Richard DeMott

    from Idaho Falls, Id

Comments about Rogue SX100B Series II Electric Bass Guitar:

crappy action, neck too wide, plays terible. need I say more?
I saw this particular rogue bass in a music shop. I enjoy my mandolin and my expectations were high. I plugged in, and found the neck was too wide for a 4-string bass thereby compromising speed and mobility in my playing style. I have played some beginner basses that are in much better quality than this. What a letdown.
All I can say is that there is much better quality basses than this. Don't waste your money.
Best use this guitar to collect dust in a corner or use as an autograph guitar to collect signitures

Comments about Rogue SX100B Series II Electric Bass Guitar:

It's great for somebody who just started. Get a better bass. If your good don' t get this.
The tuning pegs break off on the D string. Have to use pliers to tune to it. It's a big pain.
The tone knob really dosen't work. The neck is wide which I really don't like.
The quality fine. It's not bad, but not good. It buzzes which isn't good. It really dosen't sound good.
It's good for the price. For about 100 dollars it's only really for begginers. I kept it for bout a year. Get an Ibanez. There great for the price.

You get what you pay for with this one

Comments about Rogue SX100B Series II Electric Bass Guitar:

I bought this Rogue SX100B Series II Electric Bass Guitar Regular Candy Apple Red for my son for Christmas and was reminded that although sometimes you get more than you pay for, sometimes you get less... this time it's LESS. For starters the construction is cheap, lightweight and fragile, and I doubt that the machine heads will hold up long as they are binding right out of the box. Now on to playability: the main problem here is the action. Even with the saddle bottomed out it's still way too high. To fix this problem I'll have to shim the neck to bring it up (not a good thing to have to do). Intonation is going to be a beast also but with several hours and some tricks picked up along the years hopefully I can get it close. The electronics are also shotty but I'm not going to replace them because the body's not worth dumping the money in, he'll just have to deal with it. Overall this bass is not worth the low price that it's being sold for. Maybe they have a better model but I doubt it. If you want a beginner bass I'd suggest looking at something besides this one (I'd recommend the Peavey Millennium bass for a starter if you can scrape up the extra cash).
binding machine heads, cheezy electronics, and terrible action and intonation!
lightweight, cheap and fragile... no bass should be fragile
The price is cheap but this model's just not worth the price.

    Its junk!

Comments about Rogue SX100B Series II Electric Bass Guitar:

So bad I sent it back. Here are my thoughts:

Great to see split pickups and double volume/tone at this price point, but almost no options in the tone, really just on/off. Pickups are weak and come set way to high in the body. Paint color is nice (metallic black) but application is poor. Lots of bare spots and chips around areas like the neck joint.

Biggest crime is the total inability to be setup. I was able to adjust the truss with no issue but the action and intonation were a lost cause. The factory action was about .25" with the saddles laying flat on the bridge. So the 4/32" I prefer was not possible. Because of the massive action hight, intonation was not possible. With the saddles in full flat (for the new players, all the way against the back of the bridge) the octave was 450 sharp over the open 440.

Junk even for a cheap bass.
Great to see split pickups and double volume/tone at this price point, but almost no options in the tone, really just on/off. Pickups are weak and come set way to high in the body.

    my first bass

Comments about Rogue SX100B Series II Electric Bass Guitar:

This was the first bass I have gotten and I love it and still play it...It is great for the value and is a good starter bass. My only complaint is that you get a faint buzz when you aren't touching the strings. All in all a good overall bass guitar!

It is good for a bit then you want to upgrade. Neck is wider which I do not like. If you are good this may not be a good choice.

I got for my birthday and I was amazed! It sounds great! Although, their are somethings I didn't like about it. The neck is wider which I don't like. I didn't like the placement of the pegs. It's hard to get around the giant point at the top.
