Vintage vibe and tonal options galore!
The Stargazer 5's classic body shape gives it a distinctly vintage air, but its electronics deliver a wealth of tones from across decades and genres. EMG MMHZ and SJHZ pickups with a push/pull master volume control give you both single-coil and humbucker sounds. Along with a Master Blend knob and active 2-band EQ, you'll never run out of tones to play with!
Stability and resonance come courtesy of a Schecter Custom string-thru-body bridge, and Schecter tuners ensure you're on pitch. Mother-of-pearl block inlays, white binding, and 2-piece pickguard round out the Stargazer 5's classic styling.

I usually end up plugging into a direct box or a console, so the ability to blend sounds is paramount to me. This bass can roll out the high end or nasty rock tones with ease. I spent hours working on my sound before my first session and then the engineer fidgeted around and found something brand new.The action was set up too low for my taste so a quick adjustment and I was ready to rock. EMG's are outstanding pickups for slaps and pops. This instrument is great to look at and is well constructed and rugged. I have not had it long enough to rank it against my lefty Hofner or my lefty Fender American Precision but this I know...with the sale price at MF, it is by far the best bargain bass I have ever purchased considering all of the features.
