      Classic vibe with modern refinements.

The Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass is an electric bass guitar that delivers the true P Bass experience. Big, woody tones jump out from its Custom Split Single-Coil Precision Bass® pickup. The comfort contoured body fits like a glove and looks beautiful. Featuring a 20-fret vintage-style maple neck (rosewood fingerboard) with the modern playability of a 9.5" neck radius and vintage-style frets - you'll have no problem holding down the bottom end and pounding out round thick tones on this bass tone monster!

      Classic Vibe!
Back in 1982, the very first Squier by Fender guitars and basses came ringing out of Asia. Known for their excellent vintage-quality look, feel, sound and construction, those early Squier instruments and their Fender-branded counterparts are now highly sought-after collector's items revered by guitar enthusiasts as models of "getting it right" while aiming at value-conscious players. The Squier Classic Vibe Series reflects that simultaneous commitment to excellence, value and 'vibe'. Mirroring classic Fender designs, the Classic Vibe offering is not intended to be era or vintage correct — but rather to impart the "vibe" of a classic Fender design. Each model has a distinctive feature set—all adding up to one classic-looking instrument. Great sound, vintage looks, unbeatable value—Classic Vibe!

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s Guitar:

I had read multiple glowing reviews of the Squier Classic Vibe series. I can honestly say this is one of the best instruments I've ever played at this low price point.

I had always wanted a P-Bass but the cost of the MIM and MIA Fender's was prohibitive, and I had heard stories about Squier instruments not being the best quality. So when I read about the CV's and the Vintage Modified series being a cut above I jumped on this one.

I'm glad I did. The build quality and components are all very solid and the tone is great. It's got that excellent "P" sound. A very utilitarian bass that allows your hands to create most of the different tones.

The only issue I had was that the action was high, but that is pretty much to be expected from any factory built instrument. Pretty much any new bass needs to be taken for a setup by a luthier to play at its best.

If you're in the market for a much better-than-average instrument at an entry level price then I highly recommend this or the Classic Vibes Jazz bass.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s Guitar:

Good bass. Spent about 2 weeks checking out different bass pedals and amps with this bass at my local music store and finally brought it home today. Great sound and feel. The pick up sounds good. I have a 98 mim fender p bass with quarter pounder pickups in it and this bass feels as good as it and sounds a little better to me as well. still can't get over the fact that its a squier.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s Guitar:

This is a solid bass other than the wiring and input jack. They start to mess up after a year or 2 of being played. The pick up is too hot and to beefy at times not really a good mid range without tweaking your amp for 20 minutes. But for the price you cant beat it. I strongly recommend stepping up to the mexican made fenders or replacing the electronics and pickup in this.

Don't let the the fact that this bass is a Squier fool you. It is a solid, well built bass with good electronics and a great tone. The finish is perfect and it is lightweight. This bass is just as good as a standard Mexican precision bass. I love the feel of it as it is really comfortable and easy to play. Over all this is a sweet bass and I definitely recommend it.

This stuff has SURPRISE & BRIGHTEN up me...
I dont know what CLASSIC Tone always u guy told, BUT the tone really CATCH my EAR, PASTE my taste.

Neck is smooth to play, seem Slimer than normal Pbass.
Paint job nice,Bridge got lot sustain.
Tone pot increase the tone smooth, NOT like my previous MIM Jazz, got SUDDENLY-TONE-RASING!

Tiny fret easy to play, but factory action setting a bit high for me.

After i string the D'addario Flat & make some lower action adjustment. Hey guy, it really nice to play & sing with tasty TONE.

Nowaday, Squire China made seem blow out the POOR QC Fender MIM.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s Guitar:

I have been playing bass over 40 years. I have owned all of the Classic Fender Basses, and still play a 1972 Jazz Bass, which has been my main axe for 40+ years.
I bought the Squier Classic Vibe because I still missed my 1968 PBass. I was not disappointed at all. Right out of the box it was setup to perfection. I have to say it is the first bass I have played that has zero fret buzz regardless of your playing attack. (It is a sweet bass.) I love it. It has become my main axe on stage for the past 6 months.
              Pros:
GREAT NECK, GREAT ACTION, Great Sound, Light Weight.

              Cons:
Lack of color selection, which is none.
              Comment:
The Fender division in Mexico could learn a lot about a neck and setup of a bass guitar. Fender would sell many, many more of their made in Mexico P Basses if they put this neck on the made in Mexico Fender PBass's with the Fender logo on it.
              WAKE UP FENDER!!!

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s Guitar:

Had this bass for about 6 months and although it sounds incredible, things are going to break. I do not abuse my instruments by any means and the tone knob loosens up and actually popped a wire on the inside, the input jack is constantly loose and in need of tightening, the bridge even got loose. Zero complaints on sound and tone, but they definitely were cheap about the hardware.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s Guitar:

I am blown away by this bass. for this price, I couldn't resist my own Pino-style Pbass. the fit and finish were flawless right out of the factory shipping packaging, the tone of this pickup is deep round and bassy, the feel of the neck is superb. i played it side-by-side with Pbasses that cost 3x as much at the guitar shop when i bought it, and it was on par with all of them, and even exceeded a couple. brought it home, put flatwounds on it, and haven't stopped playing it in 3 weeks. this is not for your victor-types who wanna shred all day, but that's not what Pbasses are for anyway. this is for those of us who live by jamerson, palladino, etc. this is the most solid BASS bass i have ever played for this price, or for less than a grand for that matter. i have gotten over the fact that the headstock says Squier and not Fender, and this will be a main bass of mine for many years to come.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Precision Bass '60s Guitar:

I started playing bass in April 2012 after 6 years of guitar. Now I play bass in a Post-Punk band. I have a very fast punk rock style like Matt Freeman but also really grooving to some Motown or Jazz. I own both the White J Bass and Red Pbass in 2013. This review is for the Red Pbass. For the other review check out the Jbass on Musicians Friend.
This is a lot of bass for the Price and its worth it for sure. It has all of what you want from a Pbass for much less money. For me, the Squire CV necks are the most comfortable to me of the entire Fender bass product line. There is just something about them that fits me. I was initially skeptical as I could not get the sound I wanted. Then I added some Rotosound Steels and this bass came to LIFE. The bass rumbles and thumps like you want it to and gives you that pop you want. Its stays in tune well and is of a solid construction. I really like it. For some reason the Pbass pickup is much more loud and punchy than its Jbass brother. Some might not like it but I do. Roll of the volume knob just a smidge and you can tame it. But just a slight bump will also push it. Tone is more versatile.
Overall I prefer the CV Jbass tone and neck better but I can't fault the Pbass for that. It is what it is and as such gets a 4.
