Pros: High quality Bartolini pups and the Bartolini 18volt Preamp. Nice low action, High quality woodwork and craftsmanship. The thinly sculpted connection at the heel of the fretboard allows super easy access to the upper frets. This is the ultimate slap bass and will allow you to cut through any mix. You never have to worry about being overshadowed by any other instrument. Cons: Better have a nice cushioned strap because this baby weighs about 11 lbs.I was fortunate enough to get this bass for 1,300 instead of the list price of 2,000. I have the 5 string version. I played mainly Fender American Basses before. In my opinion, Fenders are overpriced and just ride of the name and the fact that they are "American Made". I know that boutique prices are hard to swallow. But trust me, you won't need another bass for the rest of your life. This one is solid!
This bass almost plays itself. With its 18 volt active systems; this baby screams & grows with easy. I've searched for that certain sound for ever and the "Killer B" gives it with very little effort. A truely awesome bass!
I own this bass and it is the best bass I have ever owned. It is almost impossible to get a bad sound out of this instrument. It is a joy to play, and it sounds great on any style of music. The slap switch is so easy to use. I have owned Ibenez, Fender and Washburn basses butn this is the best by far.
I recently bought one used It sounds amazing. The neck is REALLY fast and comfortable. Great for slap, pick, and fingerstyle, and it's light and good looking as well.
