An easy and fun method for children.

Geared for kids ages 5 and up, Kid's Ukulele Course 1 is the easiest ukulele method ever, and will get children playing songs on the ukulele right away.

3 irresistible ukulele experts—a clever classical dog, one cool jazz cat, and a friendly alligator who loves the blues—guide students along, focusing kids' attention by pointing out what's important on each page and making learning fun.

This course is perfect for classroom and home use, and even parents without musical training can be effective guides through the method. The accompanying CD will make it even easier by demonstrating how the music in the book should sound.

Ukulele course for kids

Comments about Alfred Kid's Ukulele Course 1 Book and CD:

The pictures and songs are engaging and appropriat for young children.

Two (minor) Complaints:I object to the 'simplified' versions of familiar kids songs. The kids know when notesor chord changes are missing.Although my kindergartener at 6 is older than the suggested minimum age (5), there is no way he could work through this on his own. However, with a little be of adult guidance (or muscially inclined older sibling) this is a good book.
I would highly recommend this to teach a kid under 10. Kids under 13, might find it 'childish'. Skip it for anyone older.
Easy to read. Basic notation and fundamentals. A few simplified familiar songs. CD to play along with.
We haven't made our way through the whole book; but the initial level and tempo is about right. No problems with the book or the CD.
I have an adult oriented Uke instruction book, but this one is way better for kids.
