Hal Leonard and Fender announce a new collaboration: a special Fender edition of songbooks which include a convenient G-DEC 3-friendly SD memory card. Among the initial offerings in the series is this Fender G-Dec Eric Clapton Guitar Play-Along Songbook/SD Card set. Comments about Hal Leonard Fender G-Dec Eric Clapton Play-Along Guitar Songbook/SD Card:
Nice product but not great. I have no issue with the quality of any part. It's just that the tab is incomplete. I would have really liked to have seen this with more than just the solo, intro and chords. Seems like it would have been fairly easy to do and would have made this a must have. As is, it's still great fun and a good practice tool.
Includes tab book and SD card with backing tracks and sound templates for G-Dec 3s.
Each backing track comes in two flavors. Demo and Play Along with the guitar part removed.
The backing tracks were well recorded and well played. The guitarist does an excellent job of mimicing Clapton and the Play Along tracks are great fun.
The tablature is well done and accurate though incomplete. Each song has tab for the primary lead part and the primary chord part, but all the fills and neat little licks here and there are absent. I would have been much happier if the tab were more complete.
Not a bad deal, but a little pricey for 8 songs. Again if the tab were more comprehensive, this would be a better deal.
