The Long Run is the sixth studio album by the American rock group the Eagles, it was released in 1979, on Asylum. It features four of the bands most beloved hits, including the title track, "I Can Tell You Why," "In The City," and "Heartache Tonight," as well as the loving tribute to The Troubadour, an iconic music venue in Los Angeles, "The Sad Cafe."

Formed in Los Angeles, California in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner the Eagles were one of the most successful recording artists of the 1970s with five number one singles, six Grammies, and six number one albums.
