OVERVIEW

Such tried-and-true components as Carling switch, CTS pot, and Switchcraft jacks.

The MXR CSP105 Vintage '75 Phase 45 pedal reissues the rare little brother of the Phase 90 to exacting specifications. With 2 stages of phasing, the Phase 45 guitar pedal offers up its subtle and musical voice via hand-matched FETs and a hand-wired circuit board.

The MXR Phase 45 phaser pedal is equipped with a bypass footswitch and a speed knob. Rotating the speed knob in a clockwise motion results in a faster phase effect, and turning it counterclockwise slows it down. The MXR phaser pedal is powered by a single 9V battery, accessed by removing the stompbox's bottom plate. Texture your tone without overpowering your sound with the limited-edition Vintage '75 Phase 45 phaser pedal.

FEATURES
  • Bypass footswitch
  • Speed knob
  • Hand-wired circuit board built with original-spec 1975 components
  • Original high-quality Switchcraft Input/Output jacks and Carling bypass switch

Comments about MXR Custom Shop CSP105 Vintage '75 Phase 45 Phaser Guitar Effects Pedal:

Its a very under rated pedal, it will not break up at high volumes because it has tons of head room, its not a weak phaser at all, but it is much more subtle that the phase 90 which makes this pedal totally awesome! It sounds like a Fender Vibratone!!!

Comments about MXR Custom Shop CSP105 Vintage '75 Phase 45 Phaser Guitar Effects Pedal:

Use with my Vox AC 15 and any guitar sounds good. Subtle phasing that is easier to drop into any song without drawing too much attention to itself. One trick pony that has its trick down and can be used with overdrive without being too freaky.

Comments about MXR Custom Shop CSP105 Vintage '75 Phase 45 Phaser Guitar Effects Pedal:

I had a original from back in the 70's I loved it then and love it now. Its like a mild univibe and its so clean and quiet just like the one in the 70's It enhances your vibrato technic just like the uni vibe did. It is true to the original and doesn't need a L.E.D. what for? you can feel it doing its thing. A 9 v adapter would keep it from being original, use a battery, they'll last forever in this pedal anyway. this pedal deserves a 5 star rating because it does exactly what the 70's model did in every detail. Thanks MXR

Love the sound of the MXR Phase 45. In fact, the quality of the sound would be hard to beat but it comes with two big cons. No light to tell you when the pedal is on and no power plug, battery operation only.

      MXR Phase 45

      By

      from New York

Comments about MXR Custom Shop CSP105 Vintage '75 Phase 45 Phaser Guitar Effects Pedal:

After much thought, I finally settled on the MXR Phase 45. The build is typical of MXR (rock solid construction). Very simple controls; plug in, turn knob. Turned hard left, there is very subtle yet warm modulation to be heard. Hard right, and it's the trippiest of trips. I find around 10 o'clock to be a sweet spot with my setup (Mockingbird - TS7 - Blackstar HT5). Have yet to try it with a solid state amp, but it plays well with tubes. I appreciate that MXR went back to the barebones and original wiring, but take note that there is no on/off LED or power option other than a 9v battery.
