The TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape guitar effects pedal offers chorus, flanger and vibrato in a single pedal. In addition to the brand new Vortex Flanger, the Dreamscape guitar effects pedal includes Petrucci's previously existing two Corona Chorus TonePrints, two Shaker Vibrato TonePrints and one Vortex Flanger TonePrint. The new John Petrucci Dreamscape signature pedal's mind-blowing modulation effects have been painstakingly tailored with an eye on even the tiniest detail by the master himself.

With The Dreamscape, you even get a TonePrint setting that allows you to upload or beam other TonePrints to the pedal. Comments about TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape Signature TonePrint Pedal:

This is an update on my first review. Finally got to use the tone print and was able to get my TC Electronic scf chorus sound. Great for me since this is my main application and reason for buying the pedal. Using 9v pwr on the pedal board instead of 110v cord and the small space is great I didn't see anyway of tweeking the flange or vibe part of the pedal in tone print options so If that is the most important part of the pedal check it out

Comments about TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape Signature TonePrint Pedal:

I own TC Electronic SCF which is a great pedal. I mainly use the chorus function. I was looking for the same thing with a smaller size and 9v operation. The Dreamscape is a good pedal but AB'ing both of them leads me to keep the SCF as my main and I will use the Dreamscape as a backup extra pedal. Since tone is all subjective go listen to both. The SCF also tweeks easier if you want to change a setting because of the sweep of the range of the knobs.
I haven't played with the tone print yet so maybe I will be able to dial in what I want to hear then

Comments about TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape Signature TonePrint Pedal:

I bought this product mainly for the chorus sounds, but I liked the idea that it also did flanging. While I respect John Pretrucci, I didn't buy this because of him. Do I like all the presets? Not really. The choruses sound good, the first flanger is weak, but the second one is that great old school 70s flanger sound. The vibratos are good, but I've never been a big fan of vibrato pedals. The thing that puts this over the top for me is the toneprint. I'm using that for my main chorus sound with the Andy Summers patch and the flanger. While I don't use flanger a lot it is nice not to have a second pedal when I do need it. My older great sounding chorus pedal also did flanging, but it was weak at that. It doesn't concern me that I'm not using some of the other presets because I usually set a pedal use the same basic sound for the entire service (praise band), with the exception of tap tempo on the delay pedal. I also like the fact that the effect is added to the straight signal instead of processing it too. All in all I'm very happy with this pedal.

Comments about TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape Signature TonePrint Pedal:

TC Electronics make great effects, I have a total of 6 different TC Electronic effect pedals and I love them all. This pedal sounds great on the chorus side of things but I think the vibrato and the flanger effects on this pedal are overrated and extremely weak - I pretend they are not there, so I only use this pedal for chorus. If you like chorus sounds from the 80s and 90s heavy metal, thrash, and progressive metal - then you may fall in love with this pedal. I wish TC would have designed this pedal more like their flashback delay and hall of fame pedals - meaning more different chorus presets and just skipped over the vibrato and flanger effects. Not the most versatile pedal but for what i need it for it does the job. The chorus on this pedal sounds great on both clean and distortion channels (with the same setting which is awesome for me).

Comments about TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape Signature TonePrint Pedal:

This is not a beginner pedal. This is not even an always-on pedal. What it is is a very precise recreation of JP's modulation effects, plus a wild over-the-top EVH style flanger. Of the 3 effects, the flange is probably the least useful -- it nails the 80s hair metal flange, but is not very subtle or dialable. Next is the vibrato, which is very tasty for clean, single note runs or arpeggios but can gum up rather quickly as you move away from that. What shines, however, are the chorus effects. Very lush and transparent and useful at just about all FX levels. Notch filters for Bright-Normal-Dark are black box EQ and require some futzing to max out -- but do monkey with them, particularly if you switch between 6 and 7-strings. The Bright will give you that classic "intro" clean chorus sound, for example. Plus if you run a stereo rig, this pedal opens things up even more. But as most players run mono consider the stereo a nice bonus for recording. Bottomline, if you have a onboard reverb you like, this pedal -- along with a responsive wah and a good delay and a noise gate -- might well give you everything you need for playing aggressive, dynamic music live. The crazy bright blue on-light surely is ready for stage use. When you consider this pedal is just a few quatloons more than TC Electronics Corona chorus pedal and is at least 2 if not 2.5 pedals in one, it is worth a listen.

Comments about TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape Signature TonePrint Pedal:

I was looking forward to playing this pedal. But after about 15 mininutes of turning the knobs and the switch, I realized that this pedal was like many pedals I've bought in the past. I've found out that when a pedal claims to give you more than one voice, it usually isn't worth a dime. Sent mine back and I won't recommend it.
