Comments about Ludwig Polished Copper Timpani:

The other 2 comments made were obviously from novice players. The sound from these drums is determined by the player and the choice of heads.I have played on these drums or an older version of these drums for over 50 years, before there were extended collars and they are extremely versatile and rugged, evidenced by the fact that there are so many of the older drums still around. They do, however, need a 3rd wheel for moving them. There are aftermarket wheels available.

Comments about Ludwig Polished Copper Timpani:

I really like these Timpani Drums. They work very well for me. I like the fact that it can handle a lot of energy, and that it has such nice tone. The only reason I put 4 stars, is because I think it could be a bit more clearer when you hit it, because it has a bit of a noise when you hit it, but don't let that discourage you from getting them. They are really really awesome. I think it's the best Ludwig Timpani Drums I've ever played.

Comments about Ludwig Polished Copper Timpani:

I think the timpani could be valued more if they could be sold as a set instead of individually. But they are very nice-looking and stylish.
