Overview

Nigerian ceremonial bells have a distinct sound like no others.

Made by hand in the villages of Africa, these metal agogo bells have a very distinct tone. Stick included.

These single bells, known locally as "oh-gene", are played in many Ibo ceremonies, most notably the annual Yam Festival. Played with a stick (included), these gongs keep the beat as people march through the towns and villages celebrating the bountiful harvest. Made from recycled metal by one man (famous in Nigeria for his gong-making expertise), each bell is forged completely by hand and therefore each has a unique tone. Mix and match several to create the tones you need.
