    Stunningly clean, transparent response!

The CAD C195 is a superior low-noise, electret condenser cardioid microphone designed for professional vocalists and musicians. It provides the performance and features to satisfy today's most demanding professionals.

The C195 mic has a wide, flat-frequency response that provides unsurpassed natural transparent sound. The cardioid pickup pattern minimizes annoying feedback and reduces the pickup of unwanted off-axis sounds. A transformerless electronic design provides optimum low-frequency response and low distortion. An effective internal multistage pop filter minimizes wind and breath noise.

The CAD C195 has a Flex-Form hardened steel grille screen that dramatically resists deformation while greatly reducing any risk of adverse performance caused by a bent or dented ball screen. This unique ability to retain its original shape assures that the CAD C195 will maintain its attractive appearance.

The C195 features the CAD exclusive (I.N.R.-3) Impact Noise Rejection system. A proprietary rubber shock mount isolates the transducer from the barrel, thus dramatically reducing cable, stand, and handling noise. The need for any external shock mounting device is virtually eliminated.

The low-frequency response of the CAD C195 may be enhanced by increasing or decreasing the distance from the sound source. This phenomenon is technically known as "proximity effect". Nominal or "flat" response is generated at a distance of 24 inches or more. However, as the distance to the sound source decreases, the bass sensitivity increases, providing a solid, robust character.
    Requires phantom power.

I have two of these mics and have been using them regularly for a few years. Week after week it performs flawlessly. I have used them both in studio and live. It is clear and it is hot. It does require phantom power.
Application: used as choir reinforcement, drum overhead, acoustic guitar and solo vocal mic for live performances. Vocals really cut through with very little EQ adjustment. I use it without a windscreen and rarely get the "pop". This mic has been a solid performer in every application I have placed it in. Very happy with this product.
The audio quality is the best feature
Built very well, solid, feels good as a handheld mic
This is the best mic I have used at this price point.

This mic sounds really quite good, very nice clean crisp high end. It's wonderful for female vocals and does a good job on acoustic instruments. The problem with it is that it has a rather wide response pattern. As a result it has trouble with live performance, it doesn't have good isolation and it's very prone to feedback. For a handheld mic, that's a bit limiting. I'll keep using it for recording, but not for much else.

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

Our church has a lot of shy singers and speakers - they just back away from the mics no matter how much we encourage them to get close. This is the perfect solution. They can be a foot, or even two feet away, and the sound still comes out clear and powerful. Love these.

                Very Nice Mic!!!

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

This is my first condenser mic. Can't believe how sensitive this mic is with no feedback issues. Gets the mic out of my face as I play. I don't have a powerful voice. Use with a small amount of reverb and my voice sounds much better than before without pushing my vocal chords. Great response range from lows to highs. Does require phantom power as do all condensers. Wish it had an on/off switch. Can't imagine a better mic for the money.

                One hot mike!

                from Arkansas

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

I love this mike. It is well made. It isn't too heavy. A very hot mike so you don't have to turn up the volume much to get the sound you want. My only complaint is that I wish it had a on/off button, but then it would be an 11 on the scale of 1 - 10.
Would be a 10, but no on and off switch.
This mike has a great sound to it. You do have to have phantom power for it. It is a "hot" mike. It belts out the sound with the volume on my Fishman Loudbox 100 at 2.
Where else can you get a mike like this for this price with shipping paid? Another well known place has it for more.

I have a dull voice. With this mike I have no volume issues. The sound is crisp and clean. This is one great microphone.
                A very acceptable performance mike.
How much? I'd be crazy to pass this up.

I work for a school auditorium. I need good, inexpensive equipment because things are handled in a rough way or they seem to walk away sometimes. This mic really fits the bill. It's hot, clean and easy to EQ. I have several.

                I Loved Using This Mic

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

We bought one of these for bluegrass gospel jams. It proved to be very easy to EQ on a small system in tight quarters and worked as easy in a huge auditorium with a large system. Hot enough to use as a group mic yet sensitive enough for voal solos. No problems that couldn't be eliminated with EQ. Low handling noise. Best value for a hanheld condenser mic.

Comments about CAD C195 Cardioid Electret Condenser Microphone:

I was looking for a budget condenser and the local pro audio store had just brought this in. First impressions, the mic looks rugged and has a good weight to it. Among the low budget condensers I think the CAD C195 is a winner. The mic is surprisingly hot but I like that. In terms of quality I gave it a 4.5 because the included mic cable has pin 1 jumpered to the tab(shell) of the xlr connector. And we all know that's hum waiting to happen.
