The symbols have no response. Snare is dull and misses strokes. The toms are strong as well as the bass.

ddrum dd1, err... Medeli DD505 / Fame, Legacy, Black Mamba

Features:

If you have played any of the Fame, Legacy, Medeli, Black Mamba, or other cheap edrum kits then you have played the ddrum dd1.  Sadly, the once heralded ddrum name has been taped on the side of a cheap Chinese import product. If anyone knows anything about edrums, please stay away, please...i beg of you.  This is nothing like a yamaha, roland, alesis or ddrum 2,3,4,4se product. This is a beginner kit for someone interested in making noise when a stick hits a skin, seriously.  This review is not a joke, this product is a great starter kit for someone unfamiliar with edrums. But, if you want a ddrum product, do not make the purchase even if the price is appealling. The pads are the same plastic pads every importer is including with their kits and nothing makes these unique, other than the red paint job. This is the same kit you find at walmart with first act labelled on them. I wish i could provide an upbeat review, but this is a poor sounding, inexpensive Chinese import.  Any of the other reviews that claim this sounds good have yet to hear a drum module, this is the same garbage the Fame module includes that sells on late-night t.v. mail order shows  not joking guys... Very sad, ddrum once was the premier edrum products in the WORLD!!!

Quality:

Seriously. If you drop this, the plastic casing will crack.

Value:

Value is not too bad, Under $600 for a full edrum set is the correct price point.

Overall:

Sound Quality= all samples are 22Khz samples at 16bit. In 2010/2011 you can find 24bit samples in most of your Alesis/Yamaha/Roland kits.  The latency is the highest i have ever heard in an electronic kit, even higher than an old Simmons Analog set using Piezo triggers.  As stated in another review, even a baby can tell that there is a gap between when you strike the head and actually hear the module product a sound. Tears being to well up in a drummers eyes after an 8th note roll puts out 1/4 notes at best....
