Great Set, at a Great Price

Comments about ddrum Hybrid Acoustic/Electric 6-piece Shell Pack:

Ok, well, right out of the box they sounded great, even with the cheap factory heads. I stuffed them with polymer filling, put good heads on and plugged them into an amp through a module and man... talk about wall of sound. They look great, they make you feel like you are playing a set that would cost 3 times what you paid for it, and they have a good solid feel when set up. Other than the lug mishap, all the hardware is rocksteady and good to go. The paint on the rims does not chip off very easily, and the red on black scheme is is just killer. All in all, buy it, you cant go wrong with that price, just take caution and realize that as with any other set, you may have to make minor adjustments before they are stage ready. I would definately buy the same set if i had it to do again.
Great features, the built in electronic triggers are great if you know how to use them the way they were intended.
The quality gets an "8" because my bass drum trigger didnt work right out of the box, easy fix though. also, one of the top lugs on my 14 inch tom was stripped out.
The price for what you get is amazing, all the defects are cheap and easily corrected.

Cheap Thrill

Comments about ddrum Hybrid Acoustic/Electric 6-piece Shell Pack:

Well, My Ddrums Hybrid 6 arrived two days ago...... That was the thrill.Cheap construction with lack of detail in many areas. Bad trigger placement , internal cableing fastened to the inside of the shell using electrical tape. Cross threaded tuning lugs, none of which had any grease applied. Uneven tension on the heads. Cheap mylar heads. No mount on the bass drum , Every picture I have seen of the hybrid 5&6 had one. Cosmetically ... Nice to look at , A lot of work and tweaking to get these gig ready. Still .... a good deal for the price.

Wasted about a year of my time

Comments about ddrum Hybrid Acoustic/Electric 6-piece Shell Pack:

I was pretty much in the front of the line for these drums, after countless emails and phone calls.I went with another company that not only delivered with in two weeks, but all the drums except the bass are dual zone AND shipped with mesh heads top and bottom, and... spare triggers for each drum, AND.... new cables.Ddrum was the most unhelpful company I have ever tried to buy from, hands down.To any who are thinking about these drum, good luck.

No Dual Trigger!

By KalierMC

Comments about ddrum Hybrid Acoustic/Electric 6-piece Shell Pack:

Great kit if you are going to use mylar heads for trigering your module. I was disappointed the snare did not have a dual trigger built in so if you use it for a live gig and want to use a module you may want consider miking the snare on its own. I had a hard time getting the snare trigger going with a mesh head, I had to adjust the trigger since the factory setting requires you to hit the snare really hard to get it going. You may also want to buy six XLR Female to 1/4" Stereo cables for your module, your old trigger cables won't work. DDrum should've had the snare built with a dual zone trigger!
