The latest advancment in drum pedal technology.

The DW 9002PC Double Pedal is just what you need for reaction and speed. To create incredibly smooth, gravity-defying action, the 9000's Floating Rotor is not permanently affixed on a conventional drive shaft but is mounted on a free-floating drive shaft using friction-reducing ball-bearings. In addition, the patented Rotor can be infinitely adjusted using the Infinite Torque Adjustment for a variety of positions from center (Turbo-style) to eccentric (Accelerator-style), achieving the desired balance of power and precision in any playing situation. Furthermore, by moving the location of the Floating Spring from the end of the hex shaft to the center of the pedal, the vertical alignment of the moving parts is maintained and the indirect transfer and loss of energy is virtually eliminated - further optimizing the pedal's speed and power and precision.

In addition to Delta ball-bearings at the rocker, hex shaft, and hinge, the 9000 also employs friction-reducing ball-bearings in the rotor and spring connector while incorporating several of the 5000 Series' most popular upgrades such as a stackable heel plate, dual/side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 2-way beater, built-in spurs, and lightweight aluminum pedal plates and linkages. Includes a custom-designed, injection-molded case with special compartments for pedals, beaters, and accessories.

Overall:

I've had this pedal for 2 years now and it is by far my favorite.. I've owned the iron cobra (not a fan), the DW 5000 (great pedal), and some Pearl double pedal in my beginning years of drumming that was probably less than $200.. I've played other top pedals out there but obviously this is the best. It hits pretty hard and is very smooth at the same time. The only thing I dislike about the DW pedals are the beaters.. They are pretty heavy. I actually switched them out with my Iron Cobra beaters and it works perfectly..

I am not a gear junkie by any means, I just love to play good equiptment.. I have not cleaned my pedal or taken very good care of it for the couple years I've had it and it still plays like new.. Very fast for double bass but also sounds great if you use ALOT more of single bass drum tracks.

I have played every brand of pedal on the market and the DW9002 is by far the best.  It has the smoothest motion and is extremely responsive.  The adjustment options are endless and very easy to make.  Having the drum key mounted to the foot plate is a bonus!  If you are looking for a pedal you can play for a lifetime, the DW9002 is definitely the way to go!

Ok, so after having a 5002, Axis longboards and using a demon drive for 3 months all I can say is that the 9002 is THE BEST double pedal in terms of quality, durability and performance. If you are strictly a metal guy and need uber speed then maybe go Axis or Trick but for ALL other applications look no further!

Been playing 20+ years.  I've owned the 9002 system since 2007.  It's been by far the most reliable, most comfortable, most adjustable set of pedals I have ever used. They work just as well as the day I bought em. Takes time to adj, but once adjusted, they feel like butter. They're so smooth and love the adjutable cam to give you a swing over wallop if desired. Use strap or chain, so many other features.. I've owned iron cobra, pearl, and dw 5000 series over the years.  I just love the 9000 series setup. I ened up buying the 9000 hi hat stand and its just as nice. I couldn't imagine playing on anything else.

Amazing Pedal, but it is expensive

This pedal is great.  I've owned it for over a year now and it is smoother and easier to play than any other pedal I've used.  I haven't had any problems with anything breaking.  This pedal has really exceeded my expectations. The only downside is that it's really expensive.  It costs a ton and you could probably get another pedal that is almost as good for much cheaper.  If you want the best and money isn't a big deal to you though, go with this pedal.  It won't let you down.
