This DW Claw Hook Clamp is designed to simply, yet dependably, clamp onto both sides of the hoop of your bass drum. This places percussion instruments in a location that is both accessible and out-of-the-way without fear of slippage.
Attach a cowbell, block, or other percussion instrument to the clamp via DW's patented V-Clamp which features memory lock, so it's easy to repeat you favorite setup. Included is a 1/2"-diameter L-arm but the V-Clamp can accommodate a variety of arm diameters.

Heavy duty as you would expect from DW. Clamps on to bass drum with tuning key. Solid when in place. Height and depth adjustment is approximately 3 inches both ways.

It's heavy and durable clamp. You can beat a cowbell on it for weeks and this thing won't fail.
I've actually paid more money for an Pearl kick drum clamp that is secured by pinching the kick drum rim. Most clamps are fasted this way, and if you hit the cowbell hard enough, the whole thing will fall off. That is near impossible with this clamp.
The only complaint I see other people having is that it is heavy. I personally could care less, because the heavier gear ususally lasts the longest.

I have tried many cowbell mounts over the years, and they have all left me wanting more..... until now. This DW mount is solid as a rock. I never worry about a cowbell moving/slipping during a performance any more. I dont leave home without it.

This mount holds tight and is as solid as a rock. There is less of an opportunity for hoop damage with it's "front and back" side of rear hoop design. That said, I prefer using the LP CLAW mounted off the rim mount of my floor tom. Reason being, while bass drum cowbell mounts offer the most in terms of accesibility (with both hands)it has a muting affect on the bell itself. Mounted off of a floor tom rim, the bell is able to vibrate freely and at maximum volume. With kick drums, particularly 24", the sound travels right though the bell downward, through the drum. Rock solid and does what it says but just isn't as musical compared to being mounted elsewhere. Able to get VERY close to perfect positioning with the LP CLAW and it's more musical. If you like your snare drum cranked and choked so tight that it feels like cement under your sticks then this mount is for you. I like "give" in my instruments, while still obtaining rock solid construction. Good product, it's just the nature of the beast.
