Maybe it's the fact that I went from a stock CB batter head to this or the fact that this is an amazing head... I got this head because they were out of EMAD's where I get my drum stuff and my oh my this thing may surpass the EMAD's that I have played on in the past. It made my bass sound like a cannon. The one thing I had to do was place a blanket in the bottom of my bass slightly up on the edge of the head because after tuning it to par it still sounded a little plastic and rattly because of the ring.I also put a Gibraltar double bass Click Pad on this beast and it sounds amazing. Don't bother wasting your time triggering your bass, get this combo.

I got this head about a week ago and was not happy with it. It doesn't even come close to the Aquarian Super Kick 2 head. I will never change from the Aquarin head again. Aquarian's head sound so much better and you can actually hear and feel what your playing. It's all up to you though, so try it and see what happens.

This head makes my bass drum sound the way I envisioned the perfect bass sound. It is powerful, deep, hard. I was considering getting the EMAD at first but I am glad I opted for this one instead.

has the built in eq ring on the rim to cut out overtone
for 40 bucks, this bass head is amazing. just add a little muffling in your bass drum and depending on how you tune it(which is super easy) you can get the studio bump or the piering thud, which i like, out of it.
i think most ppl use this as a resonant head? no need. this works beyond great as the beater side. and it comes with a little circle pad thing to make the head last longer.

This is the best bass batter head I haver set foot on. It sounds great and produces a nice deep tone when muffled. No need to be an expert at tuning either... If it's good enough for Thomas Pridgen it's good enough for anybody!

This head has that great low-end thump sound you really want in double bass drumming, but it doesn't sacrifice any volume. This is NOT the right head for you if you want to play jazz, it has almost no sustain, but since I play punk/ska/metal/awesome, it's the perfect head for me.

This is a very nice kick drum head. But my only problem with it is that the muffling is on the fence. If you dont put a pillow or blanket in the kick drum with it, its really ringy and clamy. But with a pillow or blanket its a dead thump. EMAD 2 !!!

I just got this head and put it on my pearl drum set. Wow! This head has a very low thump and has little or no overtones. It is also very easy to tune. Must buy this head fast!

I purchased this and it is sooo great. It has so much thump behind it. It has alot of low-end so it powers through the mix. Overall this sounds so great.

I purchused this head after breaking my emad 2. After hearing all the hype i knew i had to buy it. This head rocks mainly because i have a cheap kit and this makes it sound great. I bet it would sound amazing on a grestch USA custom kit. The only thing that i recomend is an aquarian kick pad because the evans one that comes in the box is thin.(thats how the emad broke).

I'v used very few difforent bass drum heads before settling on this one. I play 2 22/16 bass drums, and this head makes them sound massive. The produce a large, deep, thud, and has a very high, but not overbearing volume.
