It is nice, and does mute the drums very well. My cons, some of the pads came "dented" and I dont know if It was sipping, but it became "dented" in the box. Worth the money!
They are a good buy but not really all that quiet..so the neighbors say. My wife stood outside and could still here me playing so the muffling is not that great, especially the snare and hi-hat. Still they quiet it all enough that, so far, I haven't met any of my local police
I showed these to my mom and she immediately hit add to cart. She loves these sooooooo much. My set is on the 1st floor, with no other soundproofing. With these, i can bang till my sticks break and my fingers blister and my mom can have a conversation on the phone in the next room. I mean, thats not to say you can't hear it (my sister still makes me wait an hour before playing after school, because she says the kick, snare, and crash are all audible even from her room. The toms and hi hats are very quiet though. over all, these are deffinately worth the cash.
I live and practice in a tract home so the neighbors can EASILY hear my set without these. I don't really want to get to know the cops that patrol my area so I got these. I have to say, I really LOVE these things!! They are of great quality; they fit perfectly on my Tama Swingstar heads and cymbals, and they are so easy to apply and remove. The drums still sound pretty cool while they are on, but the cymbals don?t sound like themselves at all, which to me is OK for practice. Get these; they are definitely a great buy!!
These are worth every penny. They silence the drums to a perfect practicing volume and are great to have if you don't want to annoy family/neighbours when practicing. I gave the quality an 8 because the first bass drum silencer i bought started falling apart for some reason, but I exchanged it for a new one that seems to be holding up better. Overall, i highly recommend buying these because they allow you to practice without damaging your ears, and allow you to practice along with headphones. And best of all, my band can practice with only 15 watt amps now, so theres no more hualling around big amps and wearing earplugs that make it hard to hear the guitar.
