The Chief snare drum is a work of art that was built to honor William F Ludwig II, and was conceived by Ludwig and master drum builder Ronn Dunnett.
The Chief is a 6-1/2" x 14" snare drum with a Titanium shell that was handcrafted and fitted with Ludwig Imperial lugs, Dunnet R Class throw-off, modified Dunnet H1 Hypervent, and special internal muffler. It features a specially minted badge containing the image of WFL II.
