State-of-the-art maple drums in a setup that gives you unlimited sonic colors to paint with.
Meet your next drum set, the all-maple Pro M Fusion Pop. Thin maple shells, finished in a wide choice of high-gloss lacquered colors, are engineered to give you the absolute highest quality drum set at a very affordable price. Whatever your choice of eight-coat transparent or sparkle lacquer finish, your Pro M will look great for years to come.
The PM7287U Pro M drum set comes with a full complement of double-braced Mapex hardware and when you buy the kit, you get the cat--a free maple and cherry black panther snare drum--in an exclusive 6" x 13" size. Pro M Series snare drums also sport a 20-split-lug design for greater tuning precision and a sleek, contemporary look. You now have more reasons than ever to get behind a Mapex Pro M.
Mapex's low-mass lugs are secured to the shell via only one point of penetration. Fewer holes in the drum shell means less vibratory interruption, resulting in truer tone and unimpeded resonance.
The bass drum's non-penetrating I.T.S. double tom holder isolates the bass drum shell from any vibration from the tom toms. The tom's mount is secured via the lugs and is not drilled directly into the shell. The Mapex I.T.S. System allows the shell to vibrate freely, allowing for maximum projection and resonance.
Toms and snares are equipped with exclusive Mapex Powerhoops. Made from 2.3mm chrome steel, the Mapex Powerhoop provides flex resistance without adding unnecessary weight that may mute the drum.
The Pro M Fusion Pop drum set also comes equipped with Remo drum heads and an instructional DVD hosted by Mapex international clinician Dom Famularo.

I own this set and its unbelieveable. I have had this set for about a year. It goes with any music and has a great snare. If you do not own this set than save some cash and buy it!
I'd have to agree with the other review... This is an Excellent kit for any type of music!(I prefer metal myself)Because of the 20 inch length, it gives it that low, thud sound, which is good for any music, Especially metal! The snare is VERY NICE too! It has that 'PAT' sound which is also good for metal :D It sounds like Chris Alder's kit form Lamb of God (maybe because he uses a mapex too)... GREAT Sound!!!
This is THE BEST SET I've ever played on! I've played on many tamas, pearls, ludwigs, yamahas, and other mapexs even, but not one like this! I use this set for proggressive rock and alot of metal, but you can make this do ANYTHING!!! I don't have one, but I'm DEFINITELY getting one. I also recommend adding a second bass drum for metal playing and maybe some powerstroke 3 heads or aquarian. KEEP ON DRUMMIN GUYS!!! PEACE...
