Loud and powerful, yet musical.

The Heavy Bell Ride Cymbal features a solid, large bell produces a clear, dominant sound with full-bodied attack.

Meinl's Mb20 series was created for one reason . . . high volume. The weights are all on the heavier side for that reason. But anyone can make a loud cymbal, the magic with the Mb20 series is that they are still musical and they feel good to play. The cymbals are handmade in Turkey using the traditional B20 bronze alloy and then the polishing process is performed in Germany. The finish is a super brilliant finish--perfect for stage lights, and Meinl has a special two-step buffing process. The ride cymbals are perfect for anything loud.

  • B20 bronze alloy
  • Hand hammered into shape
  • Brilliant finish

Comments about Meinl Mb20 Heavy Bell Ride Cymbal:

Can be heard ALOT better than what I was using. CDuts through the wall of guitars. Was impressed with its looks and sounds, has differnt area's on the cymbal for different effects. Great stick articulation, ping and peircing bell.

      Ultimate musical ride for metal!

      By XxRome NeverxX

Comments about Meinl Mb20 Heavy Bell Ride Cymbal:

My quest for the perfect ride cymbal has been a long, hard journey; nothing ever seemed to be good enough. When you play metal, you want your ride to be loud, articulate, and to be able to cut and gives you some musicality all at the same time. Most rides I have tried sounded like man-hole covers...the 'ping' was there, but that's all they had. On top of that, the bigger and heavier rides I would try had so much wash to them, you swear you slipped below the man-hole into a roaring sewer. I almost gave up on my search until this piece of 12-pound amazingness showed up...It is EVERYTHING a metal drummer wants in a ride! It has a nice mid-pitched bow that offers INSANE articulation while releasing a very controlled lower-pitched wash that doesn't overpower your sticking. The bell...wow. HUGE. Extremely piercing, great for riding or accenting, bright and immediate sound, hardly any overtones...you'll want to chuck out your Zilbel after you hear it. On top of the amazing riding capabilities, this ride is so pretty. It shines brighter than any cymbal I've seen, but has a "rough look" because of the hand hammering. It also weighs about 12 pounds, so beef up your hardware before adding this ride to your kit.Overall, I think it's the best sound ride for metal you can buy. Most of my favorite drummers use one and now I understand why. Essential for anyone wanting to play anything fast, aggressive, or just flat out LOUD. A little pricey, but it will be the last ride you'll ever want. I PROMISE.

The bell on this is huge witch makes tricky patterns much easier. I only use meinl cymbals on my set and this is desently 1 of my favorites. The price is a little steep but you get what you play for. If you got the money, get this!

      Best Ride I've ever owned!

      By Anonymous

Comments about Meinl Mb20 Heavy Bell Ride Cymbal:

I've been looking for a while to upgrade my cymbles... I wanted a nice ride cymbal, that was solid, heavy, and loud... Well, as you read the description, this ride is exactly that! But it also has that perfect "Ting" I've been so picky about... And not to mention the bell... It's so loud, I can hear it over my crashes, and my guitarists! The price was iffy for me because I was buying it over the internet, and I usually don't buy things without hearing them first, not to mention it was my first time trying out a Meinl Cymbal... But I can't express enough how much I love this ride... It really is simply amazing... And well worth every penny!
