So I'm not really big into drums or anything, but I do like to smash around on a kit every now and then, so I have my epitome-of-mediocrity kit. I got the kit about a year ago, and after using it for a few months, I completely killed the crash cymbal, so I needed a new one, but one that didn't cost too much because I'm not super serious about drumming, but I still need a crash cymbal. So I looked around musicians friend for a while, trying to find the cheapest crash that I could, and I came across this Paiste 101 Brass Crash. I bought it, set it up when it arrived, and played it. And i have to say, I don't have any complaints. FOR THE PRICE, this thing sounds really nice, and I don't think there's anything better in it's price range. It has a pretty loud sound to it, and a fairly crisp one at that. I would also imagine that this thing could last awhile, because I thrashed it fairly often and it only started breaking after 4 months of me using it horrible cymbal stand set-up that would;ve broken any cymbal. It is definitely not a zildian at all, but if you're on a budget or just not that serious of a drummer (like me), then this is a great cymbal for you.

I bought this cymbal because Paiste is a spectacular brand, but wasn't to thrilled with this one. The sound is pretty good for the price, but I could of gotten a way better cymbal like the Meinl HCS crash. I recomend this for beginers. Don't waste your money when there's better cymbals out there.

this cymbal is great, the only thing it needs is it could be a little bit louder
This cymbal is very good. When I first got them it was heavy and I was a little skeptical about it but when I rocked it with my drum stick, I am tell you this crash will shock you surprisingly. Really these crash sounds much more expensive than the price I purchased them for. I know now paiste crash has this long decay sound and it's really nice when playing rock or gospel sounds. I would recommend this crash to you. I own the 16" bronze and 14" brass.
This cymbal is pretty heavy duty. YOu do sacrifice volume though. It's gives a good sound and it's got a great price. Bright, not very loud and quick decay.
I have been playing drums for about 3 and half years now and kno a few things about drumming. I bought this cymbal and a back up crash and didnt have a lot of money so decided to take the chance to get this. When you first open the cymbal and put it on your set it dosn't sound the greatest. But once you start messing around with it it starts to sound pretty decent. It takes alittle getting use to if you have all the big name cymbals but it holds up very well. I have had it for about 6 months now and has shown no sign of cracking or dents.
I own two 16" paiste 101 crashes and they are great cymbals! They sound like thin crashes, but they are somewhat thick so you don't have to worry about denting or cracking them.
I bought this and it is soo amazing. this cymbal is better than my zildjian cymbals that are like four times this price. seriosly the price is cheap but this is just amazing. the only thing bad is it could be louder but everything else is great. BUY IT
I can't believe this price is sooo low! It sounds just like cymbals worth about 100-200 dollars more than this! My only complaint in the world about this is that it is a little too quiet. Other than that. It is AMAZING. I got the 16 inch and I love it! I do wish I got the 14 inch by listening to recordings, but it still makes my set sound great.
For the price, this is a good cymbal. It sounds ok, but it has a long decay and you have to hit it hard to get a good sound. If you don't have much money, this works.
Great sound, good quality cymbal. Even if your just starting to play drums, or if your a pro. VERY WORTH THE MONEY.
This cymbal has one of the best prices around. It sounds pretty good, probably should be worth more than what it is. It's pretty washy sounding so if your looking for something with a higher pitch this isn't for you. It definitely doesn't beat a Zildian but if you like a washy sound with a medium decay, it doesn't get any cheaper than this.
