True Metal looks with energy, versatility, and durability.
Developed in collaboration with super metal drummer Joey Jordison of Slipknot, this Black Alpha "Slipknot Edition" Metal Rock Crash cuts. It meets the needs of all drummers who seek a fairly priced crash cymbal with lethal looks, energy, versatility, and professional characteristics.
This crash cymbal is coated using the original black ColorSound coating and then silk-screened with a rich gold Alpha logo, model designation and Slipknot logo. The "Slipknot Edition" is Joey's personal selection of Alpha models. The ColorSound technology adds a bit of bite to the initial attack, centers the overtones, and adds raw presence to the entire sound character of this dark and exotic looking cymbal.
From 1992 through 2006, Alpha cymbals delivered dependability and first-class sound at a fair price. Paiste has advanced these trusted qualities through a complete re-design of the series and presents these completely revamped Black Alpha cymbals.
This rock crash from Paiste was manufactured using top-notch technologies, and then fine-tuned using traditional hand hammering. The combination of hi-tech and traditional methods creates great value for artists looking to conserve their investment in professional class instruments.

I just got this cymbal a few days ago. i use the 18 inch crash cymbal.I can honestly say that this is my favorite cymbal. This cymbal has great looks by far the best. i love the sound of it. it gives a great dark sound. its a great value as well. i recomend for any drummer wanting a great cymbal
Whats nice about this cymbal is it looks BA, and it actually sounds awesome too. I used one up at my local drum shop on a Pearl Reference Series with some K Series crashes, a Rude ride and HHX Hats, and this cymbal by far had the most interesting sound. Its powerful with a loud, kinda dry attack that metal lovers like me crave. The only reason I'm probably not going to buy it is because I don't really want someone else's band logo on my cymbals cuz I'm picky like that, and because I noticed a few smudge marks on the black finish which will sadly probably wear off. Other than that, wicked fun, I hope Paiste comes out with a different series with a black finish. Gotta love Paiste.
