Comments about Paiste Giant Beat 24" Ride Cymbal:

This is my favorite cymbal and I own plenty, Signatures, 2002, K Lights, my first set of 505s and on and on. I came upon the reissue Giant Beats through Paiste's comparison video on YouTube. I listened to that video over and over again and I always came back to the Giant Beats. I ordered a complete set including the 24" ride. The first time I played this ride I thought "this is the ride I have been looking for for the last 25 years". Great sticking, the perfect wash, very good dynamic range including the bell and it is beautiful, a combination of rose and green with delicate hammer marks and no lathing lines to be seen. If everything you've seen leads you to consider this cymbal then do not hesitate to pull the trigger, you will not be disappointed. Having said all that; this is a big cymbal, very big. I play a very sparse kit with a 10" rack and a 14" floor and this ride takes up every available inch of space in between. I would not even want to think of hanging this cymbal over a rack tom. You would either cover half your tom or would not be able to reach the bell. This cymbal also has stand considerations, I had to move it from my Yamaha three tom/cymbal holder and give it it's own heavy duty boom stand, not because of the weight but because of the size. I think anyone thinking of buying this cymbal should seriously consider it's size and your ability to place it in you set-up. If you can make the size work then everything else is perfect.

      AWESOME, DISTINCTIVE SOUND!

Comments about Paiste Giant Beat 24" Ride Cymbal:

I recently went to the local music store to specifically buy a ride cymbal. I have been reading reviews on several different cymabals that I had narrowed it down to, but knew that I ultimately would chose based on sound. I played every single ride cymbal in the store and kept coming back to the paiste 24" giant new beat. Nothing else even came close to the sweet, dark, earthy sound of this cymbal!!! Truly distictive, complex, and unique...I LOVE this cymbal!!!!

Comments about Paiste Giant Beat 24" Ride Cymbal:

I recently bought the Paiste 24" Giant Beat... and it is truly beautiful sounding! This ride has good definition. Even if you crash it and return to a ride pattern, it doesn't get washed out. The cymbal overall has a nice ping to it. The bell is great for accenting rhythms as well. All around a great investment. (Though you may need a larger cymbal bag!)

      Giant Beats RULE!!

Comments about Paiste Giant Beat 24" Ride Cymbal:

Having ordered my complete set of the Giant Beats consisting of 15in Hi Hat, 18in & 20in Crash's & 24in Ride. Just a reminder I never play or had the chance play them or test them. So I was buying blind!!! The moment I set them up it was pure magic!!!!! They were so in tune and so well balanced in the mix that it just blew me away. These are a must have for any serous drummer. The 24in Ride was the one I was waiting for and as expected Paiste delivered!!!!!
