I've used various cymbals by almost all of the manufacturers. The last I bought before these were a set of Paiste 2002's. These are incredible, never mind the price. They sound just as good as my 602's/2002's/A Zildjians, but at a much lower price. I would definitely recommend these to anyone from a beginner to a professional. I bought the 18" China Type; two 16" thin crashes; 20" Rock Ride; 13" medium HH. Had money left over for new drum heads!

Good cymbal but could be louder!
This crash has a semi nice feel when struck but it's a bit flat and requires some force to get it to project.

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
Overall, I really like this cymbal. The first thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the box was the inverted bell, but it's hard to tell from the pictures on here. Anyway, I threw it on a stand and gave it a few hits and I was kind of on the fence as far as the sound went. After about a week of playing, though, the sound really grew on me. With the cymbal on the stand, I spun the cymbal around, and I noticed that the edges of the cymbal were warped right out of the box, not much, you can hardly even tell unless you really scrutinize it. I also have an A custom fast crash, 18", and I prefer the sound of this cymbal over the Zildjian. I'm a relatively hard hitter, and I haven't been playing for very long, but when jamming out to Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, and many other heavy bands, most other cymbals, I would be afraid to hit as hard as I do, but no matter what I play, or how hard I hit, or how often I hit it, I have never once felt like I was in danger of breaking it. This was my first Paiste cymbal, and I only got it because an experienced drummer I know swears by them, he says "If Van Halen can beat the crap out of his Paistes without them breaking all the time, they should work out for me" and after playing this cymbal for a little over 3 months now, I believe it!

this cymbal is great sounding durable and affordable. BUY IT
the cymbal is just amazing! its a bright crash and it doesnt ring and it deadens out at a reasonable time. this cymbal is just fantastic sounding and id definatly reccomend this to anyone.
THIS CYMBAL IS INCREDIBLY CHEAP! i bought it thinking it was gunna sound okay since the price is so low... but it is a cymbal that sounds like a cymbal that cost twice as much. its just outstanding for the price and i would never regret buying this.

Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
I bought this cymbal a few months ago, since I am on a tough budget and it was very cheap. I also liked the sound. I got the 14", and I have not regretted it. It sounds AMAZING. Since it's thin, I thought that it wouldn't be very durable, but this thing takes everything, and bites right back. This thing is AMAZING. BUY IT.
Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
I bought this cymbal to replace my ZBT crash that cracked. Well, first off this cymbals sound is very good and what amazes me the most is I have had this cymbal for almost two years and iv beaten the piss out of it and still not one crack!! Very durable and will not crack as long as you do not tighten it down on your cymbal stand
Comments about Paiste PST 5 Thin Crash:
This was my first crash cymbal for my drum set, and I have the 16 inch. It sounds good, and it's great for use as a primary crash. It has a nice ring to it, and a short decay, which is almost ideal for the genre of music my band plays. This is probably what i would call a intermediate level crash, dont waste your money on a zbt or a sbr, get this one. My only gripe is that the cymbal occasionally feels like delicate, and i dont know how long ittl last. Its really good.
