I was a lil suspicious when I first saw these and their price... but I read the reviews and thought that it was worth a shot... I went to sam ash today, and tried it out, and I fell in love... I bought it and tried it out as soon as I got home, and OMG is this an aswome drum... for the price, you cant beat it... my only recomendation is that u make sure that the head is dampened with whatever method you use. once dampened, the stock head is so bouncy and poppy that u will have as good a time as I was. The only real downsides are cosmetic. The paint will chip easily if knocked up against another stand... also, the glossy paint will get smeared like crazy from fingerprints, and if youre a little like me, that might annoy you, but those are minor... bottom line, these are well worth it.

I got one of these snares about two years ago and I love it. I aquired the snare when they first became popular so I feel that I have a fairly good feel of the product. I have a friend who owns a Mapex Saprano snare which is the same type of drum. The only difference is that it might not be as good of quality as this modle.

I bought this snare in black over the weekend and I couldn't be happier. I put it up against a Pearl Firecracker snare of similar size and this thing shone just as brightly and was cheaper. Hardware is snug and solid and right out of the box it was ready to go. I play some 311 covers and this baby really gives me the sound I was looking for.
I've had this snare for about a year now and i love it. still have both original heads on it. it adds a funky little sound to your set. it's very nice for heavier music or just something funky. it very worth it for the price.
MY GOD I LOVE THIS SNARE! All i needed to do was get rid of the ringing by taping a stick of gum to the top head and sounds AMAZING! I use it as my main snare, my old one sitting in case by my set and i don't regret it! you need to buy this snare NOW. They are small, versatile, and just all around awesome!
This snare is extremely useful. The only thing that I don't like about it is the fact that the side mount has a tendency to come loose and slide a bit, and it pulls a lot on the drum if you just have it hanging over nothing else.I ended up buying a second snare stand to use for this, and that works fine.Great snare, great price. It's got a very nice sound if you tune it right. I've still got the stock head on mine, and it's fine.I'd suggest this snare for anyone interesting in a side-snare with a piccolo sound to it.
I just got the snare yesterday and im already in love with it.ive been playing song where i needed a little bit of a different sound from my snare i could get.the has the perfect pop and sound for me.i highly recomend it to anyone
I just bought this snare and it is excellent! It has the right "pop" to it that you cant get from a regular snare.I use it as a side snare attached to my hi-hat stand. I recommend anyone buying this who wants that perfect extra sound to their kit.
this snare is saweet. i use it as my main snare and it is awesome. i have a remo controlled sound reverse dot head on it and it sound awesome. i like how u can mount it anywhere with a tom arm. perfect for my drum rack. buy this snare its perfect for death metal.
Okay if you want to sound good and hurt your ears and others, this here snare is right for the job. I have been playing drums for 11 years. Out of all the snares I have owned and your used...This sucker is by far the best. It sound better as a main snare, rather than a side snare. If you play Hardcore, Punk, Ska or Grindcore like myself then you'll have to buy this here bad boy. It has an amazing loud popping sound. Great Stuff! This monster is so great i've had 2 of them stolen in one year! Must be cool if people well rob yah for it. So hop on this here band wagon and buy one of these round drum things.
wow, this snare is awesome! it can be tuned so high, giving it a nice range of genre's that can be played. I think it personally sounds best for hip-hop, just because most of the time, the snare part in hip-hop songs are higher pitched, but use it as a 2nd/effect snare for your regular kit, and you've got a pretty versatile snare.
Just got this snare a couple days ago...I love it, real nice "snap, crackle, pop", it's the third snare added to my rig. As far as tuning...it only took me 15 minutes, and I have found "moongel" pads (in my omnipresent parts bag) to be perfect for controlling any "ring" I say buy it, ya need to have that variety.
