I have two of these pillows, one in each of my drum kits that I gig with. I use an Aquarian Super Kick II with an Aquarian Regulator and these heads require no internal muffling. However, playing small stages from time to time, I grew tired of my singer knocking the bass mic out of place time and time again. So I decided to pick up this PDP pillow to use simply as an internal bass mic holder. These pillows are great because they stay in place with a velcro stip so they don't move around during transport and it provides just the right amount of muffling. The pillow is the perfect size for a 22 inch bass drum. I position mine just barely against the batter head and slightly off the resonant head and I get excellent tone. I highly recommend this pillow and it looks better than that awful pillow or blanket you are probably using. In fact, it's very low profile so if your port hole is at either 3, 4, or 5 o'clock, you cant even see the pillow.
