MHX Masters Mahogany Snare Drum

The MHX series snare features 4-ply 1/8" African mahogany shells with 4-ply 1/8" maple rings, die-cast hoops, chromeplated bridge lugs, vertical-pull strainer, and ultraprecise stainless steel tension rods with brass receivers.

Mahogany was the industry standard for drum shells for over 50 years and one listen will tell you why. Drums made from African mahogany have warmth and low-end body that sets them apart from all others. If your main requirements are bottom and punch, mahogany should be your wood of choice.

And of course, this snare is constructed and finished with all the careful attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship that you would expect from a Masterworks drum.
