We have had these cymbals on our drum kit now for about 22-months, and we gig 3-x a week, and so far they have held up very good, we play alot of 50's 60's rock and they get used hard at times, they haven't shown anysigns of breaking or splitting, they do tarnish quick than most it seems, and I am constantly cleaning and polishing. the sound isn't as pronounced as Zilgien or Sabien but they sound okay average.. nothing to write home about, but they get the job done at a decent cost, on recordings we have noticed they sound great as they mic well and on tape they sound better than they are.. why? we have no idea but all in all would recommend if your looking to save money on your kit.

when these got to my house, i didnt think they were that bad because it was my first upgrade from my mini 100$ pulse set, who's 10" hunk of bronze on a non-felted metal stick. after viviting a friend with ZBT's, i was shocked by how much better his sounded, the difference was HUGE. i bought some new hi hats recently because these ones were making drumming un-enjoyable; these are the only hats iv heard that RING when they're closed. the crash is very unresponsive with a slow washy attack (if you can call it that). the crash/ride has so many conflicting overtones that really bug me. please please please get some Paiste PST 5's (plug plug) or something like i'm going to.they sound really good in the audio samples and are in a beginners price range. very poor job, pulse (as usual). the only thing they did right was make these indestructable, but that killed the sound quality.

Not that bad...

By Yyz2112

These cymbals are great for your first set, but I wouldn't recommend them unless you're really low on cash. The crash has a bad ring to it but is pretty good otherwise. I have to say the best thing about these cymbals is the ride. If you're looking for some inexpensive cymbals, spend a little bit more and buy some zildjians or something.

Not bad for the price

These cymbals are super thin and very durable. In 8 months of beating them up, they still have no cracks or keyholeing. The Hats are pretty trashy. The crash and crash/ride are somewhat bright. Mine have a few dents from dropping them or knocking over the stands, but they still sound great. I had to get a real ride because they bell on the crash/ride is no good. In all, these are great cymbals for the budget drummer.

Pulse Cymbals

These were crap. I bought these before my Zildjian ZHT PRO cymbals...and these things suck. Very bad quality..not worth the money. I recommend getting a real cymbal line. All and all...don't trust these. At all.

theyre not that great

By jpang

from Clarksville

These cymbals are cheap and no they are not made of paper but they just don't appeal to me. They came free with my set but they stink. The crash rings a lot and if you hit it softly it just sounds like you hit it with your hand. The crash/ride doesnt have any crash features nor ride. They dont have a ping or a crash just a dull ring. The hi-hats are boring and sound like metal on metal. If you want beginner cymbals get planet Zs or paistes.

I have to say, these cymbals are AMAZINGLY GOOD for the price. I first bought them for practice only, but then I started using them for band practice, too. They're simply fantastic. Now I know that some guys think that Zildjians and Sabians are the best (and really, they are), but some of them make it sound as though these cymbals are the worst things in the world. They're really not. They're actually really, really, good. Anyways, just thought I could help some of you get the most out of your money.

I got these cymbals with my drum set that I bought last year and I hate them, and the hats sound the worst. Don't waste your money.

These cymbals may not look the greatest, but they are awesome. I have had these for over a year and they still have not cracked and there is maybe 1 or 2 dents. They may not sound as good as the others but they are well worth the cost and they haven't failed me yet.

The Worst Cymbals ever!!!

By Thomas Reid

from Tucson, Arizona

See all my reviews

These cymbals came free with my lugwig accent 5pc set. Let's just say I hate them completely. when you start drumming you can't really tell the difference in cymbal qualities. But these you could see right away they suck. If you are just starting and need a set of cymbals for your new set get the Sabian B8 pack or the Zildjian ZBT,ZXT,or ZHT. If you buy these you will regret it so much its not even funny.

Terrible Hi-hat, and Im happy to say I'm getting Sabian AA Fussion Hats that sound amazing....Also the crash/ride is terrible( I mean Terrible!!). The crash cymbal was actually not bad for the price. Otherwise it all isn't that great. But on the otherhand if your new at drumming and ur not wanting to pay a lot of money, this is a perfect buy. If not save more money or get something better for a starter like Sabians B8's.

why buy it ??

By RandomDrummer78

I got these cymbals free with my Yamaha Rydeen set as a beginner, although they served there purpose now that i have been drumming for 3 years i realized how horrible they are. The hi-hats sound like a trashcan and the crash is horrible. I recommend to save your money and buy a sabian b8 pack instead.

Pulse Cymbal Set

Wow. I used to own these but I sold them to my friend. They give out the worst sound for the price. Back in the day they where cheaper and semi worth the price but now the price is way too much for such a below standard product. All of the cymbals sound washy. The ride has no bell to it and none of the cymbals project with any volume. I will give pulse credit for making these Very Very strong however I highly discourage you purchasing these! Instead I recommend Zildjian Planet Zs. They are in the price range and are so much better. I used to own a set of those too before I upgraded to Zildjian Zxts. Zxts are Great too!

I've had these cymbals for about 3 months. the crash and the ride aren't bad at all. The hi hats could be better but they are just fine for practicing. These are great for up to intermediate players.

These came free with my set and they aren't very good. The Crash is bad, the hi hat is horrible, and the ride is bad but has a good bell tone. They are cheap but that doesn't mean good.

These cymbals came free with my set and I was actually suprised at the sound of them. I would never buy because you can easily save for better. But, for being free they sounded pretty good. I would suggest saving for higher quality cymbals. Overall just save for better. I bought the zildjian ZBT's and they are very nice.

they are okay,

I got this cymbals with a Pulse drumset. The crash is muffled and isn't good for much. the high-hats were okay, but the ride is good. I would recommend getting some cymbals from a more trusted brand. but these would be alright for awhile. I don't really recommend though,

They could be worse.

By Forever and Oz

from York Pa

See all my reviews

These cymbals came with my pulse set about 2 years ago. Im not a hard hitter, so they didnt crack or anything, but they are really dirty. I've been playing drums for almost 5 years, and I've used some really bad cymbals and these are not the worst. The worst would have to be Zildjian ZBT (they suck). Any ways if you're looking for cymbals at a low price level with somewhat quality, then these are your cymbals. personally I would have to reccomend the Sabian XS20 series, which I dont have, but they're good. These are fairly descent cymbals.
