I started with this as my first set. I had played on many other, better sets before. However, it's a great bargin. First thing you will need to replace is the bass pedal. Then, for lack of a good sound, you will need to replace the snare and cymbals. (I still haven't and it doesn't affect the play, just the sound) Lastly, the highhat stand starts to get worn away by the tightener, the thing that holds the top cymbal in place, and so in about another year I will need to replace that. I play my set just about every day, so it's wearing out faster than someone who plays once a week. It is very sturdy, and the hardware is great, just don't buy this if you don't have any money for replacements within the first year of buying it.

The set is okay at first. Our church Purchsed it so that we dont have to move our one drum set back and forth. I just have to say the snare if tuned right and with a dampining wring is okay. The Bass sounds good when tuned high and with a towl rolled up and placed on the head. As for the stock heads they are horible I sugest some evans remos or aquarians. As for the Hardware not very good unless u mess with the bass drum pedal a little. The Cymbals first of the 16 in sounds like a splash and the 18in sounds like a decent crash but no ping for the ride Bad bells on both. And the high hats warped in a month. All in all just wait and save up for the Tama Imperialstar much better cymbals and Hardware and drums.

Good Set!!!!

By freekout

I totally recommend this set for a beginner drummer. I've been playing these drums for 2 years and I am impressed. But first of, let me tell you what you need for it to sound good...the drumheads SUCK! Definitely buy new heads...But the snare head I still use because it sounds perfect. But also, the cymbals aren't really that great. The crash cymbal that I got with the set now has a 6in. crack in it. So buy new cymbals. I recommend Zildjian ZBT. The bass pedal is horrible, I bought a new double bass pedal to replace the pedal it came with because it kept breaking. But overall, This set is a pretty nice one...I love how it sounds now! Happy Drumming!

Don`t buy if you want to keep this for a while.

By Connor-QAJNd

I`ve had this drum set for about 4 years, I bought it when I knew nothing about drums. My cymbals are screwed, my hihat is very loose and falls apart, my snare echoes, my heads are just done for, and I need a new bass pedal. This drumset is good for beginers, but its no good if you actually want to play in a band. First off the snare echos like crazy. I would suggest getting a new head. Second the hi-hat is pretty bad. It loosens up after a while. Third pulse cymbals are BAD! DO NOT get pulse cymbals, they may be cheap but after a year or two they have a bad sound. For cymbals buy SABAIN. they are the best that I have tried.

This is the first drumset I ever got. when I first got I knew nothing about playing the drums now that I'm a more advanced player...they suck. Compared to other drumsets I have played these arnt very good. The floor tom echos to much the snare is trashy. The cymbals are ok for pulse. But I do like the toms.

Good Beginner Set

Great set for beginners. The hardware isn't all that great, but it's good for the money. Also, the heads are paper thin, so I would replace those.

VERY good drumset

By Scenster1023

from Y, would i tell u

I have had these for about 4 mounths and they are great except that the snare echos out and even when you tighen it, it doesnt help so im prob. gunna get some new heads. Before I got this drumset I practically sucked now Im crazy good. I got this set with a pulse double pedal and Zildijen z planet 3 piece and it has been working out really good pulse ROCKS.

pretty good.

I don't play this set anymore, but I've played it for a year. And to tell you the truth this set is GREAT for beginners, and the skins did not break.Well for me anyway,I mean they probobly will if you hit them as hard as you can.The only thing bad about this set is the boom cymbal stand. If you put the boom arm straight down (if you really need it that way)it will slip out not immediately but it will fall out quickly. And if you try to turn it to an angle sidways it will like...collapse.

i have had these for about 6 months now and all i can say is wow! they are not for the people that play like niel peart or joey jordison but if youre lookin for a great set for new drummers and less experienced ones this is the set.the sound quality in the toms is not the best but with new heads that will improve. i bought evans heads and they sound good.
