This ride cymbal is amazing. It has a great ping to it. It rings like crazy, but I put two moongels on it so it doesn't ring too much. The bell is the best part. It's very large, easy to hit, cuts through the band, and most importantly, it sounds great!Don't count out this cymbal because it's B8Pro, it's definitely a great ride cymbal, for beginners or intermediate players.
If you are looking for a very pingy ride, this is the one to get. It's cheap and insanely loud. The bell is really cutting, loud and low pitched, which makes it sound like an actual bell off of a boat or something. This ride does not work at all for some styles, forget ever playing Jazz with this thing, but if you're playing metal or heavy loud rock, this is probably the best ride you're gonna find for it.
I actually selected this ride after many weeks of searching. I played everything from $50 no names to $1800 hand made cymbals from Prague. Why did I choose a cast, low-end Sabian? Because it simply has the most ping, clearest tone, and even resonance available. I don't know how they did it but from stage to studio this proves itself to be Sabian's best effort in any of there cymbal lines.
This is a great ride cymbal for beginners and somewhat experienced players. This is actualy a decent ride. The sound is good, but the only complaint I would have for this is that it rings way too much. The one way to fix this is to put some moon gels on it, thats what I did. The bell is wonderful on it and does not need changing at all. I would recommend this ride to anyone its really great. What I would say to sum this thing up is, its an amazing ride for and amazing price.
I got this cymbal recently and it is well worth the money. Its got a nice ping, great stick response and it is a beautiful rock ride. Well worth the price.
I got this as my first ever ride cymbal so you might want to take this with a grain of salt, but in my opinion this is a great ride, especially for the price. Out of the box its pretty washy and has many overtones so I stuck a moongel on it and now no complaints. Its very bright and the bell has a great sound. Don't crash on this it doesn't sound good at all, but thats not the purpose so I guess great ride terrible crash.
