Just received the Sabian Xs20's today and I was very pleased at how good they look. The hats have a nice "chick" sound when in the closed position. The ride sounded AWESOME. The 18" crash is heavy and dark. It replaced an 18" Zildjian A Medium crash that after 30 years developed a small crack. The 14" & 16" crashes compliment each other well. I play in a Classic Metal band and these cymbals really sound good. The brilliance of the cymbals really shine from our stage lights. I have played Zildjians all my life and I have to hand it to Sabian for putting out a great product at an affordable price. From the time I purchased these..Musicians Friend delivered these to me with FREE SHIPPING in 2 days. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
i have looked into cymbals for quite sometime. i had cheap sabian b8s but i love the sound of sabian because they dont ring on as much as zildjian does. i bought these because i read so many good reviews on them for the price you get the quality and you do. if your looking for a good set of cybals all the way around the drums these are for you.
Sabian, Does it again along With M/F..I Ordered these babies when I purchased my PDP X-7s by Dw. I couldn't be happier whith How they sound and look, simply amazing..Just a quick word on maintenance..though..Don't handle ur cymbals without a pair of batting Gloes on sharp edges..Dirt, Oily finger prints and Dust are the arch enemy of Drums and cymbals...So, in order to keep them lookin New and keep them dirt and smudge free from oily finger prints.Pick up a pair of light batting gloves. Additionally, wear the gloes when playing as the eddges are sharp, so wearing the gloves is an added precaution for the active drummer...They are simply beautiful cymbals in sound and workmanship. Dust them off after playing them with a light duster(( no solvent))...and COVER Up ur drums and cymbals with a sheetwhen not in use to keep dust and dirt from settleing on them..U'll B glad U did ...Once again! thank U Musicians Friend for ur high quality Service, merchandise and Pricing. U have never let me Down.
These cymbals are amazing. I got them for a good price and i couldn't ask for a better set of cymbals. I don't use the smaller crash or the splash as much but i could not be happier with these cymbals. (they do get dirty quickly however)
I got a great deal on this set and honestly could not be happier. The hats are crisp, the ride isn't too washy and has good stick definition. The crashes definitely compliment each other well. My overall favorites are the splash and the hats.
If you ask me, you won?t find better sounding cymbals at this price point. All the cymbals in this set sound good. Hats are crispy. Ride cymbal very is versatile ? not too washy not too pingy. Splash is crazy-perfect. Medium-thin crashes sound like they should cost a lot more. Certainly gig-worthy. I play in church (without a sound shield or mics) and all of the cymbals sound nice and project beautifully. The crashes open up quickly and have a somewhat short (but nice) decay. I can hit them hard without having them be over-powering. The brilliant finish looks good. ? If you don?t have the cash to buy higher-end models, the XS20?s are really no-brainers.
I picked up mine this morning and they sound absolutely fantastic. They have a very crisp sound and sustain their sound for a long time. The crashes cut through mixes perfectly. The splash sounds incredible and is as loud as the crashes. The hi-hat sounds crisp and roomy when opened. The ride sounds great and doesn't have that annoying ping you get when playing a consistent beat. For the money, simply put, there is NOTHING that can compare. Nothing.
