Simmons

Delivers the volume you need.

The Simmons DA200S houses a 100-watt low-frequency amp with two 50-watt mid- and high-frequency amps. The low-frequency amp powers a heavy-duty 12" down-firing sub-woofer speaker and a specially designed slot port for bottom-end projection. Left and right mid- and high-frequency amps drive 2-6-1/2" mid-range speakers and 2-1/2" high-frequency tweeters.

The DA200S maintains the integrity of the stereo drum signal from input to speakers (including line outs and extension speaker jacks). This provides a broad stereo field that positions your drums at their correct sonic locations, providing a realistic audio experience for you and your audience, whether you're in the studio or playing live.

Simmons DA200S Electronic drum monitor

Features:

I was skeptical when looking at this amp, I already own the simmons SD9K Electric Drum set and figured I'd give it a chance on how it sounds, after hooking it up to the drumset i am very impressed with the ranges of sound that the amp put out, I used to have the drumset hooked up to a Peavey Mark 3 bass amp, and even though it sounded good , it didn't have the highs i needed , What i really like about the DA200S Is it has a aux output for your music to play along, I would give this amp a 10 except i think the price is a little expensive for this amp

Quality:

Very well built construction ,has a bar on the top of the amp for easy travel

Value:

A little too expensive

The Right Tool For The Right Job!!!

After years of playing my Alesis Performance Pad Pro through various bass amps, i figured it was time to man up and buy an Electric Bass Drum Amp because i was never completely happy with the tones i was getting from the bass amps.  I couldn't be happier with the choice i made to get the DA200S, its really the right tool for the right job.  It has amazing tone control that will really make your drum pad or electric drum set sound like its supposed to.  I play my Performance Pad Pro by incorporating it into my live acoustic kit.  It sits just above my floor tom on a stand, so when i need to add in those electric drum breaks for intro's and such its right where i need it.  The DA200S is so loud that it has no problem mixing right into my acoustic drums at 1/2 volume.  If your looking for the right tool for the right electric drum job, i highly recommend this one.

I bought this for my Alesis DM10 Electro kit. I usually play it in a 15  x15 room with an Ipod plugged in. The bass is so deep! No rattle or  annoying sounds at all. The sub woofer does a great job and really hits hard. This amp is extremely sturdy and sounds incredible with a drumset or an mp3 player. Nothing cheap about this beast I seriously couldnt have asked for a better product. I  also have it about 4 ft. away from a 120 watt guitar amp when jamming  with no interference. If you want a great stereo good enough to party  with or a great amp that sounds great with your drumset/keyboard, this  is the perfect choice!

I use this with my Alesis drum machine. It really sounds great! I was using my spar guitar amp which made the kick drum sound like someone beating on a box. Everything comes out very clean and there is no hum! My drum machine is set at 11 o'clock and the amp is set at 12 o'clock. This is plenty of volume for practice. The room rumbles if I crank it. This is one tough piece of equipment weighing in at almost 60 lbs. I've only had it sevral weeks, but so far GREAT! You can't beat the value for price.
