All the essentials to add electronic triggering to any kit.

The Simmons Hybrid Electronic Drum Set includes all the essentials to add electric triggering to any kit. Start with the Simmons SDHB2 drum module, with 300 voices, 20 preset kits, space for 30 user kits, 50 preprogrammed songs, General MIDI sounds, and USB connectivity. Pair all that power with two responsive 9" drum pads that mount onto the included stand, and two Simmons Piezo triggers for your acoustic drums, and you're ready to take advantage of the power that electronic drumming has to offer. This kit also includes 1 ddrum Bass Drum Trigger and 1 ddrum Sanre/Tom Trigger. The Simmons module even has room for two additional inputs (sold separately), so you can expand your electric drum kit's trigger selection in the future.

ddrum Red Shot Triggers are rugged, roadworthy, and very easily removable. Connect them using any 1/4" cable. The triggers fit most types of molded hoops with no adhesive needed. Safely secures at the hoop with a standard tension rod.

Does what I need with extra options.

Features:

Comes with two pads and some triggers for the acoustic drums. Decent amount of voices in the module for what I'm doing.

Quality:

No issues so far, except for the occassional mis on the kick trigger when playing faster stuff.

Value:

I got the module, two pads, four triggers, and a stand for less than they would cost separately so it's a decent value.

Overall:

Does what I need it to and then some, since I can expand it later with more pads if I want a full e-kit.

Features:

The Simmons SDHB2 drum module is just what I was hoping it would be, it has a detailed and easy to understand users' manual with all the voice settings needed to program your kit with as many as 5 toms in sequence. I use Zildjian AE Cymbals, so having 7 ports for drums, including a snare, kick, and 5 toms is just what the Dr. ordered. The two drums work great, and the stand is road worthy to say the least, it's a beast. So for me this was a great purchase, considering the other options would have cost me much more. The Alesis DM10 module was looking like my only choice, untill I came across The Simmons Hybrid Electronic Drum Set. Musicians Friend came through again!

Quality:

Simmons went all out with the included stand, and my other Simmons products have all held up well for the price, so I gave 'em a ten here as well.

Value:

This set saved me a bundle compared to the options I was considering, and I'm happy with my choice!

Overall:

I couldn't be happier .,., Overall.
