Comments about Stagg DH Dual-Hammered Brilliant Rock Hi-Hat Pair:
Everything already mentioned with this addition... Stagg's new line of cymbals are the best kept secrect in be drumming business, For now!
I've been a music director for several major market radio stations. With over 25 R.l.A.A. certified gold and platinum album awards. I recognize a hit when I hear it and when I stopped by my local drum shop to demo hi-hat's I walked out blown away with these Stag 14" still singing their beautiful tones in my head. They're everything they claim and in my opinion they're even more! If I tried to explain how they sounded, this review would be a novel. Let's just say... don't be a "brand" snob! Test them for yourself and you too will be singing their merits. They look as if they were much more expensive. Apparently Stagg snagged a key executive who had help develop Sabian and Ziljian, Told him to create and line of cymbals that would rival any brand and keep the price low. When I hit these cymbals I knew he had a hit on his hands. The whole series sound unbelievable, almost too good to be true. I would strongly recommend you give them a spin... you'll be the judge. My bet is you'll go STAGG!
The finish was fantastic. They shine nice under spotlights. You would be completely confident having them hanging around your more costly brands.
Probably the best value in the world of cymbals. Well worth the effort to try them for yourself.
