I have owned these for 5 years & use them all the time they are a great practice tool. They are "SILENCE TIPS" meant to silence the "CLICKING" sound you hear when you play on a hard surface like a coffee table (where I practice alot while watching t.v.) or any other hard surface ((NOT DRUMS)). They last very well, I've had no problems of any kind & there still in great shape, YES, THEY ARE EASY to put on ANY stick!! if you find it difficult just put a small amount of liquid soap on the tip of your stick & twist it as you push & it will slip in much easier wipe off any soap on the outside & any on the inside will dry quickly. I keep my TIPS on 1 set of sticks 24/7 . I have changed them to different sticks a couple of times with no problems. If you cant remove them, again put a small amount of liquid soap where it will run inside the tip then just twist & pull it should come right off. YES IT'S THAT EASY. I recomend buying these, they will turn almost anything into a practice pad. There features are basic but do all it's meant to do. Quality is great had mine 5 years & counting. Value is incredible especially compared to the cost of a practice pad. Overall this is a great product well worth the money, and all I can say is well done TAMA and "BUY THEM" "BUY THEM" "BUY THEM'

The rubber is too hard (poor rebound) and primarily just lowers the stick-/drum-pad tone without sufficiently attenuating the amplitude; they don't reduce the overall loudness enough for my needs: to be able to hear the drum-synth over the stick-/pad-noise at low amplifier levels. The tips are so large and heavy that they drastically alter the sticks' balance (I tried the tips with different sets of sticks from different manufacturers, to no avail) forcing a shortened-grip to get any usable bounce at all. If you're playing on a stone cutting-board or on a thick, heavy steel-plate, then these hard-rubber tips might help. Next time, I'll try something else, rather than this junk. If you add broken sticks or ones you don't like, these tips are useful as firewood.

I had high hopes for these tips to use with my electric drums and decided to try them because they were inexpensive. The rubber is not nearly soft enough to make any difference in the sound you get from hitting the pad with the sticks.

I needed something to warm up before gigs but did not want to add one more thing, a practice pad in this case, to my usual load. These work perfectly and I only have to add one more pair of sticks to my stick bag, no big deal. I can warm up on any surface before playing without damaging it and without making any noise. They are easy tu put on the sticks, just push from the top. Exactly what I was looking for.

The tips work but they weren't what I thought they would be. They're kind of too heavy and big. They're also not as bouncy. They work though just not that great.

I bought these to use with my electronic drum set. My wife kept saying that she could hear my sticking without them, so I decided to give them a try. After working them onto the sticks (not the easiest thing to do but not too hard) I have found that they do not cause the sticks to become top heavy, which I thought they might, or create any strain on the arm muscles. Overall I think that I made the right choice and I haven't heard any complaints from the wife either. Also GREAT for beginners or kids who want to play on everything in sight, won't allow pop marks on wooden furniture and drastically cut down the noise.

You should NOT get this product. They are supposed to help silence the tapping sound, but doesn't. It took WAY too long to put them on my sticks, and I CANT get them off.
Does NOT do what the discription says very well.
They are made out of good, durable, material that can with-stand about anything.

Great product although they are difficult to put on some sticks. Maybe two sizes in the future would be great. As far as the yahoo's comments when using on their drums.....Yeah, buddy, I have lost faith in our country. READ THE DESCRIPTION!!! They are for using anywhere, anytime you want to hit on things....that means everywhere except your drums.....duh.....go ahead, read the description.....

They're for practicing tapping on a table or desk or something, so you don't annoy everyone around you. I'm starting to lose a lot of faith in society simply by reading some of these reviews......
