Great Natural Sounds

Comments about Toca Hand Painted Maracas:

These have a very natural, non plastic sound to them, and to me, they have a great look. More volume and presence than a shaker, but not overbearing like those huge LP's, I really dig these. I had a quality problem that was quickly resolved, but they have the tone and feel I like.

Comments about Toca Hand Painted Maracas:

More natural sound than plastic being just as loud and bright. Not sure what the fill is but it's harder to get a sustain or bead roll though.

Comments about Toca Hand Painted Maracas:

This is a great pair of maracas because they have an authentic sound and they are loud. They will cut through when other maracas that sound the same will not.

Comments about Toca Hand Painted Maracas:

These are some of the best sounding maracas I could find. Just the right volume and muy mello.

Unfortunately, one opened up on stage, spilling most of its beads. I was able to match them at Joann Fabrics, mixing two sizes of black glass seed beads. (sizes 10/0 and 6/0) Using the kitchen scale, I got the maracas to weigh the same and sealed the two parts under pressure with Titebond III Ultimate wood glue. That sucker taint coming apart again!

They do their job well and are pleasing to the eyes. Just don't use them for batting practice!
