These sticks are great for drummers who style range from light and flashy to moderately heavy and loud, or drummers that use cymbals a lot. The heads give the perfect amount of bounce when striking cymbals, and a nice cutting tone too.

These sticks are very versatile. I can pull out these sticks in a jazz/latin setting, rock setting, etc. and I won't feel out of place. The tips make my ride sound sharp without making the ride sound brittle. My only problem is that they break easily, but you can't really avoid that with a maple stick.

I own two pairs of these sticks. I play drums in my high school jazz band and even though I would never reccomend them for a jazz setting, they're great for a rock or concert band setting. I wish they were made in hickory, though.

The Vic Firth SD-11 Slammer is my overall favorite drumstick. Medium weight and length with typical Vic Firth quality. I love the teardrop shaped tip, which brings out just enough slap to keep the drums sounding crisp. Tip also works well playing ride patterns with articulation. I love these sticks.

These are one of the best stick I have ever used. Long stick that taper off well before the tip. The balance and lightness is perfect for putting inflection into sensitive pieces while maintaining adequate power for heavier sections of the piece. i.e. Hendrix, Complicated by Avril Lavigne. Not a hard rock stick.
