OVERVIEW

Check out Yamaha's DTX400 series of electronic drum kits!

The DTX400 series electronic drums bring Yamaha quality and technology to a new level of affordability. The DTX430K is powered by the DTX400 module that features 169 professional acoustic drum and percussion sounds with Accent Articulation for dynamic expression. Play along to 10 songs and customize 10 kits to match your style. Or practice with interactive training functions featuring Voice Guidance.

The pads feature oversized 10" ride, hi-hat and crash cymbals, while the 7" drum pads have been redesigned for greater playability, authenticity and durability. As far as hardware goes, the DTX430K includes a Yamaha FP6110 belt-drive bass drum pedal and a KP65 kick pad that provide an authentic kick drum feel. The remote HH65 hi-hat controller pedal allows "half-open" hi-hat sounds for expression usually found on much higher priced kits. A steel rack delivers a solid framework for your playing experience.

Comments about Yamaha DTX430K Electronic Drum Set:

very nice unit, although they didn't give me the right cords to plug in all pcs. I had to wait 2 weeks to get GRRR!. & a couple just reached each point not much room for adjustment. but it works.
other than that easy to assemble sounds great, double bass feature(hi-hat) i give a 5 out of 10.
Great for practicing & possibly small gigs.

Comments about Yamaha DTX430K Electronic Drum Set:

At my request, our son chose this drum kit for me after trying out several others, and was very pleased to find it. He says that even though it cost about 1/10th of his own high end Roland drum kit, in value it is worth far more than that. The additional features of the more costly kits are nice, he says, but this one has everything we need and plays well enough to even play a gig. The kit sounds great, plays well, and the built-in songs with the ability to turn the drum track off/on are so much fun it makes practicing something to look forward to!

We set this up in my living room, and its small size fits perfectly. The cool thing is that he had some older equipment including a small mixer, and set up an actual studio for me. We even have the ability to record from it. With the flip of one switch I can practice on the headphones, or flip one more switch and plug in the speakers and we're full-on, loud and jamming!

The point of all this is: I home-school our two young grandsons, who have been learning to play guitar but had also shown great interest in playing drums. They are PUMPED! You can't imagine what a great incentive this is for doing good schoolwork! (i.e., "Get your math done well, and you get 5 minutes on the drums")!

Comments about Yamaha DTX430K Electronic Drum Set:

My son is so excited to learn to play the drums... he is versed in other percussion instruments, but wanted to add a drum set to his abilities to join in on the jazz band and other band groups at school. This is a nice starter set for him to learn.

Comments about Yamaha DTX430K Electronic Drum Set:

This kit is great for practice and small gigs. The built in samples are awesome but a little limited. over all this thing is perfect with one exception- the ability to adjust everything to the perfect spot. Ive learned to deal with it and its helped me get a smaller stage presence with my acoustic kits. Solid investment!

Comments about Yamaha DTX430K Electronic Drum Set:

This kit was fairly easy to assemble and use. I haven't tried out any of the practice settings yet, but the preprogrammed kits sound decent for the price. Response is quick and has a decent feel.

Comments about Yamaha DTX430K Electronic Drum Set:

Love playing it in my apartment. Feels quiet enough that it won't bother my neighbors. The kick is the loudest part, but even that is not that loud.

I'll note that I had to try a few different headphone sets before I found one that worked with this kit, but that might be more due to having weird headphones than anything.

Comments about Yamaha DTX430K Electronic Drum Set:

Jammed on this for a few hours after I purchased it. Definitely got my fix living in a n apartment, but the samples it's loaded with leave a bit to be desired. The cymbals are a little touchy when you're trying to get bell rings, might as well not have the option to do so. For the price I'm not upset.
